Bootstrap Buttons V09 is a free button snippet from Colorlib’s 2026 collection. Colorlib describes it as changing to an outline appearance on hover, with color and size options; its description does not confirm that V09 has curved or rounded corners. Check the live demo or downloaded code before relying on a particular shape or assuming the snippet drops directly into a Bootstrap project.
What Bootstrap Buttons V09 includes
Colorlib’s 25 Free Bootstrap Buttons: Hover, Icon & Social Styles 2026, dated October 1, 2026, presents 25 button options and describes V09 as an outline-on-hover style with varied colors and sizes. The title phrase “curved buttons” should not be treated as a verified feature of V09: the V09 description does not confirm rounded corners. Inspect the demo or source files to check its shape and exact states.

The roundup says its sets are free to download with live demos, and characterizes the wider collection as dependency-free HTML and CSS, with a few lines of vanilla JavaScript for some dropdown sets. Those are collection-level statements, not a V09-specific dependency list. Check V09’s own markup and stylesheet to determine what it needs.

How to add V09 to a Bootstrap project
- Open the V09 demo or download its files. Identify the markup and CSS that belong to V09, and check whether any JavaScript or external assets are referenced.
- Choose the right HTML element. Use a
<button>for an action such as submitting a form, and an<a>for navigation. Do not choose an element solely because it looks like a button. - Check its Bootstrap version and class names. Bootstrap v5.3 uses
.btnas a base for padding and alignment, with button variants or custom styles layered on top. V09 may use different conventions, so do not assume its classes are a drop-in Bootstrap v5.3 component. - Integrate the stylesheet deliberately. Add the relevant V09 styles to your project and check for class-name collisions, missing assets, and rules that override your existing button styles.
- Test each state in the finished page. Check the default, hover, keyboard-focus, and pressed or disabled states where applicable, at desktop and touch-device sizes.
Bootstrap’s documentation says: “The .btn class is intended to be used in conjunction with our button variants, or to serve as a basis for your own custom styles.” See the Bootstrap v5.3 Buttons documentation for its variant, size, focus, and CSS customization guidance.

How to change the button colors or sizes
Colorlib describes V09 as offering color and size choices, but that description does not specify the exact options or the names of V09’s classes. Inspect its markup and CSS to find the available variants and sizing rules, then adapt those styles to your project. In Bootstrap v5.3, button variants and size classes are documented separately; custom styles can also use local CSS variables. Avoid applying Bootstrap class names to V09 until you have confirmed that its markup follows Bootstrap’s conventions.
Does V09 need Bootstrap or jQuery?
The available V09 description does not state its exact dependencies. Colorlib describes the collection overall as dependency-free HTML and CSS, with a few lines of vanilla JavaScript for some dropdown sets, but that does not establish what V09 itself uses. Check its downloaded files for Bootstrap classes, script references, and external assets. Do not add jQuery merely because a button effect is animated; confirm that the snippet actually calls for it.

Make the button accessible and usable
- Keep focus visible. Bootstrap says a standalone
.btnneeds explicit:focusor:focus-visiblestyling. Verify that V09’s styles do not remove or obscure the focus indicator. - Do not rely on hover alone. Touchscreens do not provide a consistent hover interaction. Make the button’s action clear before hover and ensure its other states remain understandable.
- Give icon-only controls an accessible name. If you adapt the snippet to show only an icon, provide a name assistive technology can announce.
- Check contrast and target size. Colorlib’s roundup cites a 4.5:1 contrast threshold for normal text, 3:1 for interface components, and a 24 by 24 CSS-pixel minimum target size under WCAG 2.2; it suggests about 44 by 44 pixels as a practical target. These are figures cited by the roundup, not measurements of V09. Check the applicable accessibility requirements for your project and test the actual colors and dimensions.
- Use full-width layout utilities when appropriate. Bootstrap v5.3 documents display and gap utilities for block-button layouts; use the approach that fits your responsive layout rather than assuming V09 includes a full-width option.
Can you use V09 in a commercial project?
Colorlib says the snippets may be used in personal and commercial projects under CC BY 3.0 if the credit link is retained. Check the current terms and attribution requirements on the Colorlib collection page before using or distributing the code.
How V09 differs from nearby styles
Colorlib describes V07 as pill-shaped, V08 as sharp-edged, and V09 by its outline-on-hover effect. Those descriptions distinguish the nearby entries, but do not establish V09’s corner shape. Compare the live demos if shape, resting appearance, or interaction behavior matters to your design.
