You can browse and use supported mods on console through Baldur’s Gate 3’s in-game Mod Manager—but the available official information does not confirm that the specific mod called “Cheater’s Menu” is currently listed for PS5 or Xbox. Search for that exact name in the game and check its platform availability before planning a campaign around it. Because modded saves can fail to load or crash, try any cheat mod in a separate campaign and keep track of the mods an existing save requires.
Does Baldur’s Gate 3 have a cheat menu on console?
Baldur’s Gate 3 has official console mod support through its in-game Mod Manager. Larian introduced the manager with Patch 7, and Xbox Wire confirmed Patch 7 and the Mod Manager for Xbox Series X|S on October 2, 2024. That establishes console mod browsing; it does not establish that a particular mod is available on every console.

The current PS5 or Xbox listing, controls, and compatibility of the mod named “Cheater’s Menu” are not confirmed by the official information cited here. Search the live in-game browser for the exact name, then read the listing’s platform details, description, requirements, and version information. Do not assume a community post or search result means the mod is available for your console or current game version.
If it is not listed for your platform, there is no verified console method here to substitute for it. PC-only tools or commands are not console workarounds for the same feature.

How to look for and use it cautiously
- Open the in-game Mod Manager. Larian’s Official Mod Support page describes the official mod system introduced with Patch 7.
- Search for “Cheater’s Menu.” Confirm the listing is available on your actual console, and check its stated requirements and version. If no matching listing appears, do not treat another mod as equivalent.
- Read the mod details before enabling it. Note any dependencies and whether the description identifies version or compatibility conditions. The exact controls and effects of this specific mod are not established here, so follow its current in-game listing rather than relying on an assumed button sequence.
- Try it in a separate campaign first. This is a precaution, not a guarantee against save problems. Avoid introducing an unfamiliar mod into the only copy of a long-running campaign if preserving that campaign matters to you.
- Keep a record of the enabled mods and versions. If a save later asks for changes, that record helps you identify what the campaign expects.
Why mods can put a save at risk
Larian lists mod-related problems that include a save failing to load past a percentage and crashes on launch. Updates, dependencies, and conflicts can affect how supported mods behave. Larian also says, “We are unable to directly manage or fix any player-created mods,” so official support cannot promise to repair a problem caused by a community-created mod. See Larian’s Mod Issues guidance.
A save may depend on mods that were enabled when it was created. Larian’s console recovery notice warns that disabling or omitting a required mod can lead to crashes or other gameplay problems, and that instability may remain during recovery. The notice concerns a particular fix for saves affected by exceeding a 100-mod limit; its recovery advice is not a general instruction to remove mods from any campaign. Larian cautions: “While this fix aims to restore access to these saves, due to the nature of modding, you may still encounter instability.” See Small Console Fix Incoming. The 100-mod figure belongs to that notice’s specific context, not necessarily a universal current limit.

What to do if the game asks you to change mods
When loading a save or joining a multiplayer session, the Mod Manager’s verification window may offer actions such as Download, Enable, Update, or Downgrade to align the installed mods with what the save or session needs. Review the requested changes rather than dismissing a dependency without understanding it. Larian explains the process in Synchronising Mods.
- For a save you want to preserve: check which mods and versions it expects before changing the active set. Do not disable a mod simply to test whether the save will load without it.
- For a loading failure or crash: avoid repeated experiments on your only save. Record the enabled mods and versions, use the verification window to match the save, and consult Larian’s current mod guidance.
- For multiplayer: all participants need the same mods and versions. Use the verification window to resolve mismatches before trying to join.
Xbox cross-save is a recovery option, not a safety guarantee
For the Xbox save-loss issue described by Larian, the support page advises linking a Larian account and enabling cross-save under Options > Gameplay > Save Options > Cross-play. Larian says this can recover the last five saves if that issue recurs. This addresses the described Xbox save-loss scenario; it does not promise recovery from every mod-related failure. Details are in Disappearing Save Files (Xbox).

Decide whether to use a cheat mod in your campaign
- Availability: Is the exact mod listed for your console and current game version?
- Save dependence: Does the campaign already rely on other mods, and does the cheat mod require anything else?
- Recovery: Can you test it in a separate campaign or use a platform-supported recovery option relevant to your situation?
- Compatibility: Are the required mods current? For multiplayer, do all players have identical mod versions?
- Purpose: Would an in-game difficulty option or another ordinary gameplay choice meet your need without changing the campaign’s mod set?
