Check the app’s rules first, and know how to stop the tool before you start.
What a click interval means
The interval is the time between automated clicks. A tool may express it in milliseconds, seconds, or another unit; check the label and units in the settings rather than assuming a value means the same thing across programs. Interval controls are not standardized, and a setting that works for one task may be too fast or too slow for another.

The right interval depends on what you are doing, how quickly the target app responds, and whether it registers the intended input. No authoritative published evidence establishes one universally safe or optimal interval, so avoid treating any particular milliseconds or clicks-per-second figure as a general recommendation.
Set the interval with a short, controlled test
- Identify the target. Decide which control should receive the click and whether the tool uses the current cursor position or a fixed location. Move away from buttons or controls that could cause an unintended action.
- Choose a cautious starting interval. Begin slower than you think you need. If the app needs time to respond, or a missed or duplicated click could matter, use a longer interval.
- Limit the first run. Use a small, finite repeat count or a brief run instead of unlimited clicking while you are learning the setup.
- Test the stop control first. Find the pause or emergency-stop control and confirm how it works before starting. Keep it accessible while the tool is running.
- Watch the target during the test. Confirm that each intended click registers and no unintended action occurs. Stop promptly if clicks go to the wrong place, repeat unexpectedly, or cause an unexpected result.
- Adjust gradually. Change the interval only as needed, then test again briefly. Extend the run only after the short test behaves as intended.
AutoClicker’s documentation advises, “Avoid very low intervals (0ms) to prevent lag.” That is guidance from the product’s own documentation, not an independently established technical limit or a guarantee that any higher interval is safe. Its documented Standard Mode includes interval, click type, repeat behavior, target location, and F6 start/stop controls: AutoClicker documentation.

Check the tool’s controls and permissions
Before using an auto-clicker, obtain it from its official publisher or a trusted distribution channel and review the permissions it requests. A publisher’s or repository’s own statements are not an independent security audit, so do not assume a download is safe solely because the project describes it as secure.
Confirm which controls the particular tool actually offers. Useful details to check include:

For example, the Fluffer/AutoClicker project describes adjustable intervals, repeat counts, an Escape panic stop, and an optional corner fail-safe. The TheChrisCross/AutoClicker project describes a configurable interval range of 10 milliseconds to 10 minutes, optional repeat counts, and F6 and Escape controls; it says Escape works when the application is focused. These are features reported by the projects, not independent tests or recommended settings. Check the controls in the version you use rather than assuming another tool behaves the same way.
Check the rules of the app or service
Whether automation is allowed depends on the rules of the game, website, workplace system, or other service where you plan to use it. Read the current terms or ask the service’s administrator before automating input. Do not use an auto-clicker to cheat, farm rewards, bypass access controls or anti-cheat systems, or evade rate limits.

The Steam-hosted EULA for Multi Auto Clicker requires users of that named product to follow the rules of third-party applications and services and prohibits certain abusive uses. It is not a universal policy for games or platforms; the rules for your particular service determine what is permitted. A stop control or a slower interval does not make prohibited automation acceptable.

If you use a mouse with an Android device for accessibility, check Android’s built-in Autoclick (Dwell timing) feature before installing a separate tool. It clicks after the pointer stays still for a chosen delay, rather than repeatedly clicking at a fixed interval. Google says, “This feature can be helpful for users with motor impairments.”
