1. Raise a player’s level with EXP
Player training uses EXP items to increase a character’s level. Energy Drinks are identified as an EXP source in the GamingonPhone guide; the guides also describe auto-training and EXP earned through offline mode. Use the training option in your current game and review the displayed EXP requirement before spending items.

EXP items serve player-level training. They are not the same as Boots, which the guide identifies as skill-level items.

2. Break through the level cap
When a player reaches the maximum level for their current star rank, Potential Breakthrough is the next progression step described by the guides. It consumes an attribute-specific mark and raises the level cap, allowing further leveling.
Match the mark to the player’s attribute
- Strength: Burning Force
- Technique: Jade Technique
- Speed: Blistering Speed
- Tenacity: Rock Solid
Potential Special Training stages are described as a way to collect marks in these categories. Check the current stage list and reward preview in your game: stage availability, names, and mark rarity may differ from older guides.

3. Upgrade skills separately
Boots are described as items for increasing player skill levels. This is a separate track from raising the player’s level with EXP. Breakthroughs are also reported to unlock more skills, but the guides do not establish current skill-up costs or exact player-specific unlock thresholds. Check a player’s skill screen for available upgrades and prerequisites.

Level tactics
Tactics are described as equipment, and unused tactic cards can be applied to level them. Review the tactic’s effect and the game’s confirmation screen before using cards, especially if you may want to keep a card for another purpose.

Upgrade the instructor and align positions
Instructor upgrades use required materials and are described as unlocking strategies and adding a rating bonus. The guide also notes that player-position compatibility can be improved by putting suitable players in the positions they match. These are team-level development options, separate from an individual player’s EXP and skill upgrades.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What to prioritize
- Train the player to the current cap. Use available EXP items or the game’s auto-training option.
- At the cap, check Potential Breakthrough. Confirm which mark the player needs and where the current game awards it.
- After raising the cap, continue leveling. Breakthrough raises the limit; it does not replace EXP training.
- Spend Boots on skills when useful. Check the skill screen for eligible upgrades and unlock requirements.
- Build the team in parallel. Use tactic cards and instructor materials for their respective systems, and field players in compatible positions.
The guides do not provide a dependable current cost comparison between these paths, so prioritize according to the player, materials, and options actually available in your version rather than assuming one upgrade is always the most efficient.
