Update 1.3.0: Extended Operations is the latest documented free content update for 007 First Light, dated October 1, 2026. Update the game through your platform storefront to access its Photo Mode, new TacSim activities, and New Game+ features. Some content is available immediately; other rewards require finishing the campaign, reaching a TacSim clearance level, spending Intel, linking an IOI Account, or claiming a time-limited Twitch Drop.
Get the update and know what is live
Install the latest game update through the storefront for your platform. IO Interactive’s October 1, 2026 patch notes identify Update 1.3.0 as free DLC called Extended Operations. At release, the publisher listed these download sizes; actual download sizes may change:

The patch also includes more than 700 fixes and improvements, according to IO Interactive’s Update 1.3.0 notes, including work on crashes, progression blockers, clipping, audio, localization, and interface polish. The notes describe the features and unlock conditions below; they do not give button-by-button instructions for Photo Mode.

New Game+
Complete the entire campaign to unlock New Game+. In that mode, you can select outfits through the journal, restart from a selected checkpoint, and swap gadgets during a mission. Gadget choice is still limited by story progress: you can use only gadgets that have already been unlocked at that point in the story.

00 difficulty
Finishing the campaign also unlocks 00 difficulty. It is a separate completion-gated option, not a reward that requires Intel or an IOI Account.
Photo Mode: use the in-game interface
Update 1.3.0 adds Photo Mode with camera settings, overlays, filters, visual effects, and poses. Open it using the in-game interface and follow the controls shown there; IO Interactive’s patch notes do not specify exact platform inputs, so button instructions should not be assumed.

TacSim: play the new activities and earn weapon unlocks
New activities in Extended Operations
- Valhalla Protocol: a Slovakia driving activity featuring the Aston Martin Valhalla, weapons, and a score goal.
- Jungle Heist: return to The Pearl Hotel in Vietnam and recover documents from a villa safe. The publisher says attempts differ.
These are TacSim activities, distinct from the campaign missions. The update also lists three TacSim outfits—Observant Spy, Leisure Beam, and First Class—as unlocked by default.
Weapons that require clearance and Intel
Reach the required TacSim clearance and spend Intel to unlock each weapon. Meeting the clearance alone does not grant it.

Earlier free TacSim content from Update 1.1.0
Update 1.1.0, dated July 24, 2026, added two three-tier TacSim Escalations: The Workshop and Extraction Avenues. It also added Intel-purchased rewards, each gated by a clearance level:

MI6 HQ: find Jack the Bulldog
Update 1.3.0 adds Jack the Bulldog beside the TacSim area in MI6 HQ. You can pet him; the patch notes do not list an unlock requirement.
Cosmetic rewards with account or date requirements
The Grey Standard outfit
Link the game to an IOI Account by November 1, 2026, to receive The Grey Standard. An IOI Account is not required to play the game, but IO Interactive says certain rewards require one. See the official game FAQ for account and launch details.
One More Twitch Drop
The One More Twitch Drop is listed as available from October 1, 2026 at 15:00 UTC through October 16, 2026 at 17:00 UTC. Claim it through the Twitch Drop promotion during that window; it is not an always-available in-game unlock. The official patch notes provide these dates but do not specify additional claim steps here.
What is not confirmed as a live free feature
IO Interactive’s June 16 Year One announcement described planned additions including more TacSim content, a G2 Glasses gadget, a story-continuing mission, Path Tracing for Nvidia GPUs, Photo Mode, and New Game+. Photo Mode and New Game+ are now covered by Update 1.3.0, so use its live patch notes for their current details. Do not assume the remaining announced plans are already available or free: the Year One page says plans can change and does not provide pricing details. See the Year One announcement and FAQ.
