Google’s Android guidance is to erase the phone and set it up again. You can do that remotely through Find Hub if the phone was already set up for it, or with the hardware reset procedure for your exact model. Either route deletes the data stored on the phone, so the goal is to get the phone usable again, not to get your old data back in place.
What “unlock” means in this guide
Here, “unlock” means getting back into a phone whose screen lock you cannot remember. It does not mean carrier unlocking, which concerns whether a phone can be used on a different wireless network. Those are separate problems with separate fixes.

The Boost Mobile guide for the Celero 5G (2024 edition) places screen-lock settings at Settings > Security > Screen lock. That path only helps if you can already open Settings. It is useful for changing or removing a lock you still know, not for getting past one you have forgotten.

Option 1: Erase the phone remotely with Find Hub
Remote erasure only works if it was already prepared before you were locked out. Google lists these conditions for Find Hub:
- The phone has power.
- The phone has a mobile data or Wi-Fi connection.
- A Google Account is signed in on the phone.
- Find Hub is turned on.
- The phone is visible on Google Play.
If all five were true before you forgot the lock, sign in to Find Hub with the same Google Account, select the Celero 5G from your device list, and choose the option to erase the device. Once the erase finishes, set the phone up again as new. If any condition was not met, the remote route will not work, and you should move to the hardware reset below.

Option 2: Reset the phone with its hardware buttons
Google’s guidance says a locked phone can be erased using its power and volume buttons and points to the manufacturer’s support site for device-specific steps. The general approach is to power the phone off, then start it in a recovery menu by holding a particular combination of the power and volume keys. From that menu you select the option to wipe data or perform a factory reset.

Before you erase: checks that prevent a second lockout
- Confirm the Google Account. Setup after a reset may ask for the Google Account that was previously used on the phone. Find the username and password you know for that account before you start.
- Wait after a password change. If you recently changed that Google Account’s password, Google recommends waiting 24 hours before performing a factory reset.
- Charge the phone. A reset can take a while, and interrupting it is avoidable trouble.
- Note what you cannot get back. A reset erases data stored on the device. Only what was backed up to your Google Account can be restored.
After the reset: setup and restoring data
During setup, follow the prompts to restore Google Account backups if they are available. Restoration depends on what was backed up before the lock problem began, such as app data, contacts, and settings that synced to your account. Photos and files that were only stored on the phone itself are not recoverable through this route. If you want to limit future losses, turn on backup for your Google Account now, while the phone is working.

- The old “Forgot pattern” flow. Google’s page for this option applies only to Android 4.4 or lower. It does not apply to a Celero 5G.
- Unofficial bypass tools and videos. Steps shown in unofficial videos may apply to a different model or release. They can also put your data at risk or leave the phone in a worse state.
- Accessories. A charger, cable, or generic tool does not provide access to a locked phone.
