First identify whether your Philips TV uses Android TV, Google TV, or a different interface: the uninstall steps depend on the platform. Android TV offers an uninstall option in Settings or the Play Store; Google TV uses the app’s details menu. Some Philips models also show a separate app-management menu.
Identify your Philips TV platform
Check the Home screen and Settings menus for Android TV or Google TV labels. If neither is apparent, look up your TV’s model number in its Philips manual or support page before following platform-specific steps. Philips menus vary by model and software generation, and the documented Android TV and Google TV instructions do not establish a universal path for every Philips Smart TV.

Uninstall an app on Philips Android TV
Use either of these routes to remove a downloaded app:

From Settings
- Press Home and open Settings.
- Under Device, choose Apps.
- Under Downloaded apps, select the app you want to remove.
- Choose Uninstall, then confirm with OK.
From the Play Store
- Open the Play Store.
- Find and select the app.
- Choose Uninstall.
Menu wording may differ on Philips Android TV models. Google’s Android TV instructions describe both routes; Philips manuals also document app management through Android Settings. Google’s Android TV app guidance and the manual for your specific Philips model are the best references if a label is missing.

Uninstall an app on Philips Google TV
- From the Google TV Home screen, open the Apps tab.
- Find the app in Your apps.
- Press and hold Select on the remote until a menu appears.
- Choose View details, then select Uninstall.
This removes the app; removing it from favorites is a separate action. See Google’s instructions for managing apps on Google TV.
Use a Philips app-management menu only if it appears
Some Philips documentation describes an Uninstall Apps menu. If your TV has these labels, open Uninstall Apps, choose See all apps, select the app, choose Uninstall, and press OK to confirm. The document does not identify which models or platform versions use this interface, so do not assume it is available on every Philips TV.

- Uninstall: removes the app through an available uninstall control.
- Hide: changes app visibility in models with a Show/Hide Apps menu; it does not document deletion.
- Remove from favorites: removes a shortcut or favorite, not necessarily the installed app.
- Stop: ends an app’s current activity. A Philips Android TV manual notes that an app may continue running in the background after you return to Home.
- Clear cache: clears cached app data; it is distinct from uninstalling.
Philips manuals describe stopping an app, clearing its cache, and uninstalling as separate management actions. Find the instructions for your model in the Philips TV support area.

If Uninstall is missing
Do not assume that a missing control means the app can be removed another way. The available official instructions do not establish which preinstalled apps are removable on each Philips model or why a particular app lacks an uninstall option. Check the TV’s model number and platform, then consult its matching Philips manual or support page. If you need help identifying the correct steps, provide those details when contacting Philips support.
These instructions cover Android TV, Google TV, and one Philips-documented menu variant. They do not establish equivalent steps for Saphi or Titan OS; use the manual for those TVs rather than applying an Android or Google TV path.
