Turn subtitles on by device
Connected TV, console, or streaming device
- Start the show or movie and pause playback to display the navigation bar.
- Use the remote to move up, then right to the speech-bubble icon labeled Audio & Subtitles.
- Select the subtitle option you want. Confirm the selection if prompted; subtitles may take up to 30 seconds to appear.
Phone or tablet
- Start playback and tap anywhere on the video to show the controls.
- Tap the speech-bubble icon for Audio & Subtitles.
- Select the subtitle option you want.
Web player
While the title is playing, open the player controls, choose the speech-bubble Audio & Subtitles menu, and select a subtitle option. Peacock identifies this menu and control in its accessibility overview; it does not provide a distinct browser-specific sequence in the cited instructions.

Subtitle availability and appearance
Peacock says subtitles are available for its content across platforms, with rare exceptions such as trailers. That does not guarantee that every title offers every language. See Peacock’s subtitle help page for its availability guidance.
Peacock says caption appearance can be customized through account settings, including sizing, font, and color options. Device accessibility settings may also affect captions:

If subtitles do not appear
Wait, then check the title
On a TV-style device, confirm the subtitle choice if prompted and allow up to 30 seconds for it to appear. If the problem happens with only one title, Peacock asks users to report the content-specific issue to Customer Care.

Troubleshoot broader playback problems
For general playback issues—not a confirmed subtitle-specific fix—Peacock recommends closing and reopening the app, restarting the device, checking the internet connection, and clearing cache or data on mobile or web. See Peacock’s audio troubleshooting guidance.
Check device support
If Peacock or its player controls are missing, check the current supported devices and platforms list. Support can depend on a specific operating-system version or device model, so a device family name alone does not establish compatibility.
