Enable the TPM feature in your UEFI firmware, confirm that Windows boots in UEFI mode from a GPT disk, then enable Secure Boot. Check TPM status in Windows afterward.
Before changing BIOS or UEFI settings
Activision’s guide specifies Windows 10 version 22H2 or later, or Windows 11, for these security requirements. Check your Windows version and confirm that your PC supports TPM 2.0 before entering firmware settings. The TPM feature may already be available but disabled.

- Windows 11: Open Settings → System → Recovery → Advanced startup → Restart now.
- Windows 10: Open Settings → Update & Security → Recovery → Advanced startup → Restart now.
- After the restart, select Troubleshoot → Advanced options → UEFI Firmware Settings. Choose the option to restart into firmware if prompted.
Enable TPM 2.0
In UEFI, look under sections such as Advanced, Security, or Trusted Computing. The exact location and wording depend on the system. Enable the applicable firmware TPM option:
| Processor or TPM type | Firmware label to look for |
|---|---|
| Intel | Intel PTT or Security Device Support |
| AMD | AMD CPU fTPM |
| Discrete TPM | A TPM device option, if supported by the motherboard |
Activision’s guide describes Intel 8th Gen or newer and AMD Ryzen 2000 series or newer for the processor-based TPM routes. If you cannot find the setting, check your system documentation instead of changing an unrelated option. Save the change and restart.

- 【Wide Compatibility – Gigabyte & ASUS】 Specifically designed for Gigabyte and ASUS desktop motherboards with a 20-1 pin (2x10 / GA 20-1) 2.54mm pitch LPC TPM header. Ideal for upgrading to TPM 2.0 on DDR4 systems. (Note: NOT compatible with 12-pin, 2x6, or 14-pin headers).
- 【Windows 11 Readiness】 An essential hardware upgrade to meet Windows 11 security requirements. Ensure your system stays secure and up-to-date with a dedicated hardware TPM 2.0 module without replacing your entire motherboard or CPU.
- 【Advanced Security & Encryption】 Powered by the standalone Infineon SLB9665 encryption processor. This module securely stores cryptographic keys for software like Windows BitLocker, providing a robust layer of hardware-based security for your data.
- 【Platform Limits – No Laptops】 Optimized for Desktop motherboards from the DDR4 era (X99 series and newer). Not compatible with laptops or legacy DDR3 systems. Please verify your motherboard's header layout (2x10 pins) before ordering.
- 【Easy Setup & BIOS Note】 Simple plug-and-play installation takes only minutes with no tools required. IMPORTANT: After installation, you MUST enable "Security Device Support" or "Intel PTT / AMD fTPM" in your BIOS settings for Windows to recognize the module.
Check UEFI mode and GPT before enabling Secure Boot
Secure Boot requires UEFI boot mode and a system disk using GPT partition style; Legacy boot and MBR do not meet those prerequisites. Check your current configuration before changing either setting. If Windows is using Legacy boot or the disk is MBR, do not guess at a conversion or switch boot modes blindly: consult the computer or motherboard maker’s instructions first. An incorrect change can prevent Windows from starting.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsEnable Secure Boot
Once UEFI boot mode and GPT are confirmed, return to the firmware settings and enable Secure Boot. Its location and available options vary by manufacturer. If the option is missing or firmware displays a warning, use the exact device or motherboard documentation rather than trying unrelated settings. Save your changes and restart into Windows.
Quick Recap
Best Value
- Independent TPM Processor: The remote card encryption security module uses an independent TPM encryption processor, which is a daughter board connected to the main board.
- High Security: The TPM securely stores an encryption key that can be created using encryption software, without which the content on the user's PC remains encrypted and protected from unauthorized access.
- PC Architecture: TPM module system components adopts a standard PC architecture and reserves a certain amount of memory for the system, so the actual memory size will be smaller than the specified amount.
- Scope of Application: TPM modules are suitable for GIGABYTE for 11 motherboards. Some motherboards require a TPM module inserted or an update to the latest BIOS to enable the TPM option.
- Easy to Use: 12Pin remote card encryption security module is easy to use, no complicated procedures are required, and it can be used immediately after installation.

Verify TPM in Windows and check game compliance
- Press Windows+R, enter
tpm.msc, and press Enter. - In the TPM Management window, confirm that the TPM is ready for use and that the Specification Version is 2.0.
- For a game-specific compliance check, Activision says its Secure Attestation Wizard can check whether the PC meets the security requirements.
If the settings are unavailable or the game still prompts
- No TPM option appears: Check the PC or motherboard manual for Intel PTT, AMD CPU fTPM, or supported TPM hardware. Do not assume a discrete TPM module will fit; compatibility depends on the exact motherboard. Check built-in firmware TPM support and the board manual before considering a module.
- TPM is enabled, but the game still prompts: Activision’s guide says a motherboard firmware update may be relevant. Check the TPM manufacturer version and the motherboard maker’s current firmware guidance before updating.
- Secure Boot is unavailable or Windows will not boot: Stop making changes and follow the system maker’s recovery and firmware instructions. If you are unsure which setting is safe, contact the hardware maker or a qualified professional.
