To turn off Wi-Fi Calling on a Samsung Galaxy S21, go to Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi Calling and switch it off. If that option is missing, check the Phone app’s settings instead; menus can vary by carrier and software version.
Turn off Wi-Fi Calling in Settings
- Open Settings.
- Tap Connections.
- Tap Wi-Fi Calling.
- Tap the switch to turn the feature off. Samsung’s Galaxy Wi-Fi Calling guide documents this toggle.
This switch controls Wi-Fi Calling, not the phone’s Wi-Fi connection. Your S21 can remain connected to Wi-Fi after you turn the calling feature off.

Try the Phone app route: open Phone > ⋮ More options > Settings > Wi-Fi calling, then switch it off if the option appears. Samsung Canada lists this route in its Wi-Fi Calling instructions.

If neither menu shows Wi-Fi Calling, availability may depend on your carrier, device configuration, or installed software. Ask your carrier whether Wi-Fi Calling is available and provisioned for your S21 and account. Samsung notes that screens and settings can vary by provider and software version.

Optional shortcut: Quick settings
Some phones include a Wi-Fi Calling tile in the Quick settings panel. If you see it, you can use it to toggle the feature, but the tile’s presence and position vary. The Settings or Phone app route is more reliable to check.
What turning it off changes
Wi-Fi Calling lets you make and receive calls over Wi-Fi when cellular coverage is weak or unavailable, as Samsung explains in its feature guide. After you switch it off, the phone no longer uses Wi-Fi Calling as its call route; calls may instead rely on your carrier’s cellular calling path. How calls are handled depends on your carrier and circumstances.

Turning Wi-Fi Calling back on
Use Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi Calling and tap the switch again, if the option is available. Samsung’s US instructions say enabling the feature requires a supported carrier and device, active SIM or eSIM service, and a Wi-Fi connection. Availability and exact labels can differ across S21 variants, carriers, regions, and software versions.
