To stop only PS5 Game Help alerts, open Settings > Notifications > Manage Pop-Ups and turn off Game Help. To suppress notification pop-ups more broadly, turn off Allow Pop-Up Notifications under Settings > Notifications. These settings control pop-ups—not the activity cards in Control Center.
Choose which PS5 pop-ups to turn off
The right setting depends on whether you want to stop Game Help alerts specifically or reduce notifications in general. Sony documents both choices in the PS5 notification settings.

If you still want other notices, use the Game Help option instead of disabling pop-ups broadly. The per-activity choices in Manage Pop-Ups are useful if you want to limit interruptions in a particular context rather than switch off all pop-ups.
Turn off Game Help notifications step by step
- From the PS5 home screen, open Settings.
- Select Notifications.
- Open Manage Pop-Ups.
- Find Game Help and switch it off.
Sony says Game Help notifications appear when you begin playing a game that has Game Help available. Depending on the game and what you are doing, Game Help can offer hints, tips, or walkthrough videos. Turning off its notification type addresses those alerts; it does not amount to a documented way to remove Control Center cards.

Turn off notification pop-ups more broadly
- Open Settings > Notifications.
- Select Allow Pop-Up Notifications.
- Switch the setting off.
This is the broader choice if you want fewer notification pop-ups overall. If your goal is only to silence Game Help, leave this broader control on and disable Game Help in Manage Pop-Ups instead. That keeps the scope of the change narrower.
Why turning off Game Help does not remove activity cards
Game Help notifications and activity cards are different PS5 interface elements. A Game Help notification is a pop-up alert. An activity card is part of the Control Center interface: Sony describes cards as offering features and actions tied to the game you are playing, with examples such as trophy progress, challenges, and activities based on game progress.

Sony’s Control Center customization instructions cover hiding eligible control icons, and note that some icons cannot be hidden. They do not document a setting that removes activity cards globally. So if you turn off Game Help notifications and still see cards, that is consistent with the settings having different purposes. Do not expect either notification setting to clear the activity-card area.
Open Game Help without relying on a notification
Turning off the alert does not prevent you from opening Game Help through the Control Center when the feature is available for a game. Press the PS button, select the Game Help card in Control Center, then choose an objective. The available assistance depends on the game and what you are doing.

- You want to stop hints or walkthrough prompts but keep other notifications: switch off Game Help under Manage Pop-Ups.
- You want to suppress notification pop-ups more generally: switch off Allow Pop-Up Notifications.
- You want fewer interruptions only while gaming, watching videos, or broadcasting: use the per-notification choices in Manage Pop-Ups.
- You want activity cards gone: the cited PlayStation guidance does not describe a global activity-card removal setting; the notification controls above are not a documented solution for that interface area.
