The exact menu path can vary by phone, so use Settings search or the manufacturer’s instructions if you do not see those labels.
Turn off Developer options in Settings
-
Open the Settings app.
-
Tap System, then Developer options.
-
Switch Developer options off.
Google’s general Android instructions use this path, but Settings can vary by phone. If you do not see System or Developer options, search for “Developer options” in Settings. You can also check your phone manufacturer’s support instructions for your model and software version. Google Android Help
What if the menu path is different?
Some phones place the menu under an additional section. For example, a Google Android Community answer from March 18, 2021, describes Settings > System > Advanced > Developer options. Treat that as an example, not a universal current path. If Settings search does not find the control, follow the manufacturer’s instructions for your device.
Do you need to reset your phone?
No. Turning off Developer options is done with its switch in Settings; a factory reset is not part of that procedure. A reset is a separate troubleshooting step and removes data, so do not use it just to hide or turn off Developer options. If you are considering a reset for another reason, Google advises backing up your data first. Google Android Help
