If Samsung Multi Control will not connect your Galaxy phone and PC, first confirm that both devices are eligible, updated, nearby, signed into the same Samsung account, and have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Multi Control enabled. On a Galaxy Book, Samsung’s documented connection gesture is to move the cursor past the edge of the screen toward the other device and back. The right diagnosis depends on your exact models, software versions, region, and symptoms.
What Multi Control connects
Samsung Multi Control lets you use a Galaxy Book’s keyboard, mouse, or trackpad across supported Galaxy devices, moving between screens and dragging and dropping content. Some functions may not be available on every device or in every app. Samsung’s US and UK connected-experience pages describe the supported combinations and requirements.

Check that your devices are eligible
Compatibility varies by device and region. Samsung’s US and UK pages list Galaxy phones and tablets running One UI 5.1.1 or later, and Galaxy Books released in 2021 or later with Samsung Settings 1.5 (Intel) or 3.3 (ARM). Samsung says availability may vary by region and device, so check the support page for your market and the exact models rather than assuming that every Galaxy phone and PC works.
Samsung India describes a separate phone-to-tablet setup with a One UI 5.1-or-later requirement. That is not the same configuration as connecting a phone to a Galaxy Book; use the instructions for your device pairing and region.

Check the connection requirements on both devices
- Turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and keep both devices powered on and near one another. For Galaxy Book and phone use, Samsung UK specifies that both should be on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Sign in to the same Samsung account on both devices.
- Enable Multi Control on both devices, not just the Galaxy Book.
Samsung’s US page states: “Your Galaxy Book, Galaxy Tab, TV, Smart Monitor and phone must have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on, and be logged into the same Samsung account.”
Find the Multi Control setting
- Galaxy Book: Open Samsung Settings > Connected devices > Multi control.
- Galaxy phone or tablet: Open Settings > Connected devices > Multi control.
Update the Galaxy Book apps and try connecting
- On the Galaxy Book, open Microsoft Store > Library > Get updates > Update all. Samsung recommends this route to update PC apps.
- Check for relevant device software updates as well, then confirm Multi Control remains enabled on both devices.
- With both devices on and nearby, move the Galaxy Book cursor past the left or right edge of its display in the direction of the other screen, then bring it back in the same direction.
- Look for the cursor on the other screen. Samsung identifies the cursor appearing there as confirmation that the devices are connected.
If you meant phone-to-tablet Multi Control
Samsung India documents phone-to-tablet use without a Galaxy Book as a distinct setup. Its requirements include One UI 5.1 or later, the same Samsung account and Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Multi Control enabled on both devices. A Bluetooth keyboard or mouse must be connected to the tablet. In the setup flow, choose Connect phone and select the phone from the Nearby phones list. If a Bluetooth keyboard or mouse also will not pair
A failing Bluetooth accessory is a separate problem from Multi Control itself. If the keyboard or mouse will not pair with your Galaxy device, Samsung recommends checking that it is in pairing mode, removing its saved pairing and pairing it again, restarting the phone, and checking for software updates. If available, run Bluetooth diagnostics in Samsung Members. Samsung’s Bluetooth troubleshooting guide also lists resetting Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings as a later step; that reset removes saved connection information, so expect to reconnect devices and networks.
When to contact Samsung
If the supported-device requirements, settings, updates, and documented connection steps do not resolve the issue, contact Samsung Support or visit a service center. When you do, have the phone and PC model names, One UI and Windows versions, Samsung Settings version, region, and the exact symptom ready—for example, whether the phone sees the PC or whether the cursor never appears on the other screen. Without those details, a specific cause cannot be identified.
