If your Fraimic Canvas will not join Wi-Fi, seems slow to display an image, or responds unexpectedly to touch, start with its LED and follow the matching steps below. For setup, connect to the canvas’s temporary Wi-Fi network and open fraimic.local if the setup portal does not appear. Fraimic’s official FAQ and online manual cover the standard recovery steps; individual customer reviews describe experiences, not guaranteed fixes.
Check the LED before troubleshooting
The status LED helps identify what the canvas is doing. Fraimic’s FAQ and manual describe these indicators:

- White pulsing: The canvas is processing or installing.
- Solid red: Recording.
- Blinking red: An error or failure, including failure to connect to the internet.
- Three yellow blinks: A recording or upload was canceled.
- Blinking magenta: A firmware update is downloading.
- Blinking green: Charging.
- Solid green: Charged.
These meanings are listed in Fraimic’s FAQ and manual.
Fix Wi-Fi setup and connection problems
The setup portal does not open
- Wake the canvas, then open Wi-Fi settings on your phone or computer and connect to its temporary Fraimic_XXX network.
- If no local setup page opens automatically, enter fraimic.local in the device’s web browser.
- Complete setup using a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. The manual specifies 2.4 GHz for onboarding.

The LED blinks red after you submit Wi-Fi credentials
Fraimic says an incorrect Wi-Fi password is a likely cause when the canvas does not advance after credential submission. Reopen or reload the local access portal and enter the password again. Blinking red can also indicate another error or a failed internet connection, so if the password is correct and the problem persists, contact support rather than assuming the cause.
The canvas is no longer connected after waking
- Wake the Fraimic Canvas.
- Reconnect your phone or computer to the canvas’s Fraimic_XXX Wi-Fi network.
- Open the local access portal and enter the credentials for the network you want the canvas to use.
Fraimic gives these reconnection steps in its FAQ.
Check charging and power
Connect a standard USB-C charger to the port on the back of the canvas. The manual says a USB-C cable is included, but Fraimic’s cited instructions do not specify a required charger wattage. Charging time varies with the charger’s output and the battery’s level. A blinking green LED means charging; solid green means charged.

Allow time for image uploads to appear
Fraimic says an uploaded image usually appears after about 30 seconds. Treat that as an approximate wait, not a guaranteed deadline; a pulsing white LED means the canvas is processing or installing. If the image still does not appear, check that the upload is a supported static file: the FAQ lists JPG, JPEG, and PNG images up to 35 MB. Animated GIF is unsupported. See Fraimic’s FAQ and manual.

Fraimic says its touch-sensitive areas can be activated accidentally while handling the canvas: “The touch capacitive areas on Fraimic are super sensitive,” according to the company’s FAQ. If you start a recording or prompt by mistake, triple-tap the right corner of the mat to cancel. The manual notes that cancellation is unavailable while the canvas is refreshing. Three yellow LED blinks indicate a recording or upload cancellation.

Understand unexpected voice-to-vision activity
If an image is generated without an intentional audible prompt, accidental touch is one possibility: handling the canvas may start recording, and another tap can submit a prompt. Use the LED to check whether it is recording, then triple-tap the mat’s right corner to cancel when the canvas is not refreshing. Fraimic documents the touch sensitivity and cancellation behavior in its FAQ and manual.
When to contact Fraimic support
Contact Fraimic if the official Wi-Fi, charging, upload, or cancellation steps do not resolve the problem, or if the device remains unresponsive. Its FAQ lists Discord and [email protected] as contact routes and says typical replies arrive within one business day; check the current FAQ for up-to-date support details.

Customer accounts on Fraimic’s Standard Canvas and Large Canvas pages describe individual startup, touch, and image-orientation experiences. One Standard Canvas reviewer reported success after using the rear reset button twice, while a Large Canvas reviewer said a touch issue was ultimately addressed through unit replacement. These are anecdotes, not official troubleshooting procedures or evidence of how often faults occur. Fraimic’s FAQ and manual do not specify a timed reset-button procedure, so do not hold the button for an assumed duration; ask support for device-specific guidance.

Check fit and orientation if an image looks wrong
Fraimic says a portrait image sent while the frame is horizontal will rotate to landscape orientation. The company also says the frame is removable and the canvas is designed to fit many other frames, but its FAQ does not provide a compatibility list or third-party frame dimensions. Verify dimensions and fit before buying another frame. Customer reports about cropping or orientation describe individual experiences, not a universal fault.
