To move data from an old Android phone to a new DOOGEE, start the new phone’s setup, connect it to the internet, choose the option to copy apps and data, and follow the on-screen steps. Google recommends using a compatible data cable; wireless transfer is available if you do not have one. If the old phone is unavailable, restore an existing Android backup by signing in to the Google Account that holds it. DOOGEE model and Android version can change screen labels and hardware compatibility.
How do I transfer data from my old phone to my new phone?
Begin while setting up the new DOOGEE. Keep the old phone nearby, charged, and unlocked, and connect both phones to an active internet network. Check that the new phone has enough storage for what you plan to move. Google says transfer time can range from a few minutes to a few hours, depending on circumstances.

How do I transfer everything from Android to Android?
No transfer method guarantees that every item will copy. During setup, Android can move many common types of data, but some downloads, accounts, and app data need separate handling. For the direct phone-to-phone copy, choose one of these methods:

Use a compatible cable
Google recommends cable transfer. Connect the phones with a compatible data cable and follow the prompts on both screens. If the plugs do not match, an adapter may be needed. A cable that charges a phone does not necessarily support data transfer, so confirm that it does before relying on it. If you cannot connect the phones, use the wireless option instead. Google’s Android setup instructions explain the transfer choices.
Transfer wirelessly
- On the new DOOGEE, choose “No cable” and then the wireless transfer option.
- On the old Android phone, open the Google app and search for “set up my device.”
- Follow the pairing prompts. Confirm that the shapes and numbers shown on both phones match, then choose what to copy.
Exact prompts can differ by model and Android version, so follow the screens shown on your phones.
Can I transfer data without my old phone?
You can restore data from an existing Android backup if one is available. During setup on the new DOOGEE, choose the option to restore from a previous backup, connect to Wi-Fi, and sign in to the Google Account used to create that backup. If you have backups for multiple devices, select the correct device and backup. Google may ask for the old phone’s screen lock. A backup can restore only what it contains; it is not the same as copying every current file from a phone you no longer have. - Apps and certain app data
- Music, photos, and videos
- Contacts stored on the phone or SIM
- Text messages and multimedia in messages
- Most phone settings, wallpaper, and call history
Google says these items do not copy during setup:
- Downloads such as PDFs
- Photos, videos, and music stored in hidden folders
- Apps that are not from Google Play
- Data from apps that do not use Android backup
- Non-Google accounts and their data
- Contacts and calendars synced to services other than Google
- Ringtones and certain phone settings
Copy files in those categories separately or use the relevant service’s or app’s own restore process. For app data in particular, check the app’s backup and sign-in instructions rather than assuming Android setup will move it.
Move WhatsApp separately
Enable WhatsApp backup on the old phone before switching. Then install or open WhatsApp on the new phone and follow its restore prompts. Other apps may also require their own backup, sign-in, or migration steps. Google’s Android transfer guidance identifies WhatsApp as requiring a separate backup and restore step.

Google supports an iPhone-to-Android setup path. When the new phone asks which device you are copying from, select iPhone or iPad and follow the prompts. Depending on the setup flow, you may pair with a QR code or cable; Google also describes an option to continue without a cable. Google directs users to a separate process for iCloud photos and videos, so do not assume those will be included in the standard copy. Google’s switching guide has the current setup flow.
What should I check before erasing the old phone?
Open the relevant apps and locations on the new DOOGEE and confirm that the items you need are present. Google advises clearing the old device only after confirming that the data has copied. DOOGEE notes that a factory reset permanently erases local data. Use the manual for your exact model for reset instructions, and contact DOOGEE support if a model-specific issue remains unresolved.
