For Vivo’s documented transfer method, use EasyShare’s Phone Clone on both phones: set the old Android as the old phone, set the Vivo X Fold6 as the new phone, pair by QR code, choose what to copy, and start the transfer. Leave the old phone unchanged until you have checked the important data on the X Fold6.
Before you start
- Keep the old phone available and do not erase or trade it in yet.
- Charge and unlock both phones. Vivo says the transfer may ask for a screen-lock password or PIN.
- Check the receiving phone before cloning: Vivo warns that data for the same apps on it may be overwritten.
Transfer with Vivo EasyShare Phone Clone
- Open EasyShare on both phones and enter Phone Clone. Vivo documents EasyShare on both devices; if it is not installed on the old Android phone, get it from Vivo’s official EasyShare distribution or the app store available for that phone. The available download route may vary by region.
- Choose Old phone on the Android phone and New phone on the Vivo X Fold6.
- Use the X Fold6 to scan the QR code shown on the old phone to pair the devices.
- On the old phone, select the data categories you want to copy, then start Phone Clone and wait for it to finish. Vivo says Phone Clone migrates data without consuming mobile data; this does not mean that every other setup or app action is offline.
- On the X Fold6, check the contacts, messages, photos, files, and apps that matter to you. If an app appears among transferred items but is not installed, check Files > Apps and install it manually if appropriate. Vivo Philippines notes that app installation may not happen automatically because of permissions.
Vivo’s manual describes Phone Clone as a way to migrate data “without consuming any data.” That is Vivo’s description of the clone transfer, not a promise that every activity during phone setup uses no network data.

Use Android’s setup transfer if it is offered
Google documents copying data to a new Android phone during setup using a cable or wireless connection. Its general list includes apps, music, photos, videos, contacts, texts, wallpaper, and call history; DRM-protected music is excluded, and the available items vary by phone and Android version. This is general Android guidance, not a confirmed list of prompts or transfer categories for every regional Vivo X Fold6 build.

If you choose the wired route, use a compatible, data-capable cable only if both phones support the wired setup flow. The available documentation does not establish which cable, if any, is included with the X Fold6.

Which transfer method should you use?

If setup transfer fails or you skipped it
Google’s troubleshooting guidance says you may be able to retry the Android transfer from Settings. It also describes using a cable or Android Switch when the initial setup QR code is unavailable. The menu labels and options depend on the device and its setup state. For the Vivo-documented route, use EasyShare Phone Clone and follow the pairing steps above.
What to verify before retiring the old phone
Check the data you rely on directly on the X Fold6, and complete any separate cloud restores you need before wiping the old device. The available Vivo and Android guidance does not establish that every app’s private data, passwords, authentication tokens, launcher layout, or settings will transfer. Keep the old phone until you have confirmed what you need is present and accessible.
