To move data from an old Android phone to an iQOO, start the iQOO’s setup and choose the option to copy apps and data from an Android device. Follow the prompts to connect by cable or Wi-Fi and choose the items to copy. If setup transfer misses something, check iQOO’s EasyShare Phone Clone instructions for your model, or restore a Google Account backup. Verify your important data on the iQOO before erasing the old phone.

Prepare both phones before transferring
- Charge both phones and make sure you can unlock the old Android with its PIN, pattern, or password.
- Back up the old phone first, as Google recommends in its switching guidance.
- Connect to Wi-Fi when prompted and check that the iQOO has enough free storage. Google notes that insufficient destination storage can prevent all selected data from transferring.
- If you plan to use a cable, check that it fits both phones and supports data. An adapter may be needed; wireless transfer is also available when the setup flow offers it.
Transfer data during iQOO setup
- Turn on the iQOO and begin its initial setup. Connect it to a network when prompted.
- When asked whether to copy apps and data, choose the option to transfer from an Android device.
- Follow the iQOO’s on-screen pairing instructions. Connect the phones by a compatible data cable or choose the wireless route presented on screen.
- Unlock the old phone when requested, then review the categories offered and select what you want to copy.
- Keep the phones available and follow the prompts until the transfer finishes. The exact screens and available items depend on the iQOO model and Android versions, so use the instructions displayed on your devices.
Google’s Android setup guide describes cable and Wi-Fi transfer. A cable is optional, not a requirement.

What may transfer—and what to check separately
Google says Android setup may copy apps and certain app data, music, photos, videos, contacts stored on the phone or SIM, text messages, multimedia in messages, most phone settings, wallpaper, and call history. The specific categories offered depend on the phones and their software.
Google lists downloads such as PDFs, media in hidden folders, apps not from Google Play, data from apps that do not use Android backup, data from other accounts, contacts or calendars synced with non-Google services, ringtones, and some phone settings among items that may not copy in the standard setup flow. - Open important apps on the iQOO and confirm their data is present. Installing an app does not guarantee that its private data moved.
- Check Downloads, hidden folders, contacts, messages, and photo libraries individually.
- For photos and videos backed up with Google Photos, sign in to the same Google Account and confirm Photos backup was enabled on the old phone.
- For chat history or other app-specific content, use that app’s own migration instructions and check its backup status.

iQOO’s India EasyShare support index lists questions about starting Phone Clone, transferred data, use with other phones, network requirements, encrypted notes, and hidden or encrypted apps. The page does not establish a universal menu sequence, compatibility list, or complete set of transferred data, so check the instructions for your exact iQOO model and region.

Restore a Google backup if the old phone is unavailable
- During iQOO setup, sign in to the Google Account that holds the backup.
- Choose the offered device backup and the items you want to restore.
- After setup, check that apps and data have returned. Some apps or data may require separate sign-in or an app-specific restore.
Google says device backups can include apps and app data, call history, contacts, device settings, and SMS/MMS, but support varies by app and device. Photos and videos are handled through Google Photos when its backup is enabled. Do not attempt to restore a backup made on a higher Android version to a phone running a lower version; Google warns that this may not work. Details are in Google’s backup and restore guide.

You skipped the transfer during setup
Whether a transfer option remains available after setup depends on the phone manufacturer and Android version. Check the iQOO’s setup-completion prompts and the model’s settings or official support; Google notes that post-setup availability varies in its switching guidance.

An app is installed but its data is missing
Not every app backs up or restores all of its settings and data. Open the app on the old phone, if available, and check its developer’s backup, account sync, or migration method.
Photos or documents are missing
Check Downloads and hidden folders, which may not transfer through standard setup copy. Also check whether the content is stored in Google Photos or another cloud account and sign in to that service on the iQOO.

Google backup restore is incomplete
Check the Android versions on both phones and the contents of the backup. A backup from a higher Android version cannot be restored to a lower-version phone, and app support varies. See Google’s restore guidance.

Verify the iQOO before wiping the old phone
On the new phone, check the data you cannot afford to lose: contacts, recent messages, photos and videos, documents, and important app content. Confirm that cloud-backed items appear after signing in. Keep the old phone intact until those checks are complete; Google’s switching guide likewise advises clearing it only after confirming the copy.
