To track a quest in ARC Raiders, check the selected quest and its current objective in the game’s quest or map interface, then navigate using the objective’s wording and location. At the destination, complete the action the game prompts—such as transmitting your location or marking a specific object—and check that the objective updates. A waypoint you place on the map helps with navigation; it does not, by itself, complete a quest objective.
How to follow a quest objective
- Open the in-game map or quest interface. Review the selected quest and the objective currently shown. The ARC Raiders Wiki’s Game UI reference describes map features including your Raider’s position, extraction countdowns, and player-set waypoints.
- Navigate by the objective text. Use its named location and action to work out where to go and what to do. If the location is unfamiliar, search for the objective’s exact name in a walkthrough or map reference; third-party quest trackers are unofficial.
- Complete the prompted action at the destination. Reaching a spot is not always enough. Look for the quest-specific interaction prompt and use it.
- Check the quest again. Confirm that the displayed objective changed or registered after interacting. Embark’s December Update 1.7.0 support notes report changes to quest interaction text and tracking-icon colors intended to improve clarity.
Waypoint versus quest objective: what the marker does
A player-set waypoint is a map navigation aid: it helps you orient yourself or remember a destination. A quest objective can require a separate in-world action, such as transmitting your location or marking a particular object. Treat the waypoint and the quest action as two different things; placing a marker on the map is not evidence that the objective is complete.

- Head to where the Fuel Lines snapped and transmit your location.
- Head to the antenna near the Fuel Control and transmit your location.
- Head to the cactus patch in the wall breach and transmit your location.
- Transmit your location from the roof of the Container Storage building.
- Find the tarp-covered container and mark it.

At each stop, follow the relevant prompt; the last objective calls for marking the container, not merely placing a map waypoint near it.

Are there buttons for tracking a quest or placing a waypoint?
The current key or controller bindings for selecting a quest and adding a waypoint are not established by the cited references.
