To track an IndiaMART listing price, save a dated screenshot of the exact listing at each observation and log its full URL, seller, product variant, price, currency, unit, and minimum order quantity. Compare like with like: a different seller, specification, quantity, or unit is not necessarily a price change. A screenshot records what appeared on the page; it is not a confirmed quote or proof that a seller will honor the displayed amount.
What to record for a useful price history
Price without context is easy to misread. IndiaMART’s July 2023 seller-journey presentation depicts product-management fields for price, unit, and minimum order quantity; the interface may have changed since then. IndiaMART listings can also vary by seller and product specifications, so preserve the identifying details alongside each image.

- Listing identity: the full listing URL, product name, and seller or listing identity.
- Price terms: displayed amount, currency, unit (for example, per piece or per kilogram), and stated minimum order quantity.
- Product context: variant, model, material, grade, dimensions, or other visible specifications that distinguish the offer.
- Other visible terms: delivery or other stated conditions, if shown.
- Observation time: date, time, and timezone of capture.
These details make it possible to tell a genuine change in the displayed amount from a changed listing, seller, quantity basis, or specification.

How to capture and compare listings manually
- Open the exact product listing. Copy its complete URL into your tracking log. Do not rely on a search-results page alone to identify the offer.
- Make the relevant details visible. Capture a full-page screenshot when practical. If seller identity or specifications are elsewhere on the page, take an additional screenshot that includes them. Keep the original image files.
- Record the timestamp and listing terms. Use a timezone-aware timestamp in your log or filename. For example:
2026-10-03T18-49-27Z_vendor-product.png. This is a recordkeeping convention, not an IndiaMART feature. - Repeat for the same listing configuration. On later visits, verify the URL, seller, variant, unit, and minimum order quantity before treating the capture as a comparable observation.
- Compare the amount and its basis. Note currency and unit with the number. Record changed specifications, terms, seller identity, or listing availability separately from a numerical price change.
- Keep the evidence together. Store the screenshots with the log and any seller correspondence so each observation can be traced back to its listing and time.

How to decide whether the price changed
Compare two captures only after checking that they represent the same offer on the same basis. A change from a per-piece amount to a per-carton amount, for example, cannot be read as a straightforward price increase or decrease without reconciling the quantity. Likewise, a different minimum order, variant, specification, seller, or delivery term can change the commercial meaning even if the displayed number is unchanged.
- Was the seller and listing identity the same?
- Did the product specification or variant stay the same?
- Are currency and unit identical, and is the quantity basis comparable?
- Did the minimum order or other visible terms change?
- Does the timestamped screenshot show the relevant listing context clearly?
If any answer is no or unclear, describe the observation as a changed offer or an uncertain comparison rather than attributing it solely to a price change. For a purchasing decision, ask the seller to confirm the current price, unit, minimum quantity, delivery terms, and quote validity in writing. Keep that reply with the dated screenshot.
