Choose a tracker for your platform and region
Price trackers do not all cover the same consoles, stores, or countries. Start with the platform and retailer where you intend to buy, then check that the tracker supports your region and offers the kind of alert you want.

- Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, or Steam: Deku Deals says it tracks prices at official stores for these platforms. After signing up and adding games to a wishlist, users can receive email notifications when those games go on sale.
- Multiple PC stores: IsThereAnyDeal offers price history, a Waitlist with customizable notification rules, Steam wishlist import, and Collection tracking. Its API also documents country and shop selection, along with voucher-related settings; those options can affect which deals appear.
- Steam price history: SteamDB provides a price table and graph on each app page. It is useful for seeing past Steam prices, but it does not predict which games will be discounted in a future sale or the prices they will reach.
- Console and PC comparisons: PSprices lists coverage and features for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, and Steam, along with notification and price-history options. Its comparison page claims coverage of 71 regions, compared with 41 for Deku Deals; this is PSprices’ own undated comparison, accessed October 4, 2026, and is not an independently audited count.
Features and supported regions can change. Check the tracker’s current coverage page and settings before relying on a particular store, country, or notification channel.
Set up a useful game price alert
- Pick the buying destination. Decide whether you want a PC, Switch, PlayStation, or Xbox version, and which store and country you will use. Choose a tracker that covers them.
- Find the exact game and edition. Check the platform and edition before adding it. Standard, deluxe, complete, physical, and digital versions may have different listings and prices.
- Add it to your list. Use the tracker’s wishlist or waitlist feature. Deku Deals describes signing up and wishlisting games to receive email alerts; IsThereAnyDeal lets users add games to a Waitlist and can import a Steam wishlist.
- Choose an alert rule and channel. If the service offers a price threshold or historical-low rule, set one that matches what you are willing to pay. An unusually low threshold may mean waiting indefinitely. Select an available channel, such as email or push, and check account or notification settings if alerts do not arrive. Do not assume a notification will be instantaneous.
- Review the alert before purchasing. Compare the offer with the tracker’s price history, then open the retailer listing and verify the country, currency, platform, edition, final price, and sale end date.
Use price history as context, not a forecast
A price graph or list of previous discounts helps you judge whether today’s offer is attractive relative to earlier prices. It cannot establish when a game will go on sale next or how deep the discount will be. SteamDB explicitly says it cannot know which specific games will be discounted in an upcoming sale or what their prices will be.

Also check what the tracked price represents. Country settings, selected shops, vouchers, and bundles can change how an offer compares with another listing. SteamDB notes that bundle-related pricing can explain apparent discrepancies. The retailer’s current listing is the place to confirm the deal you can actually buy.

IsThereAnyDeal describes its Waitlist this way: “Found the game you want, but the price is not quite right? Add it to your Waitlist and we’ll let you know as soon as it’s on sale.” That is the service’s own description, not independent verification of alert delivery.
