Get the review QR code from the correct Business Profile
- On a computer, open the Google Business Profile for the business that should receive reviews. Google’s current instructions say the QR code can be generated in a computer browser, not on a mobile device.
- Select Read Reviews, then Get more reviews. Copy the review link or save the QR code shown. Google’s interface wording may change; follow the review-sharing controls in the intended profile. Google’s instructions for sharing a review link or QR code.
Scan the digital code before designing the print
Display the saved QR image on your computer screen and scan it with a phone. Check that the destination identifies the intended business and leads toward its review flow. If it opens the wrong business or another destination, return to the correct profile, get a fresh link or code, and scan again before placing it in artwork. This is a practical validation step; Google’s help explains how to obtain the code, not this exact test sequence.
Print and test one proof at its final size
- Put the verified code into the intended sign, card, receipt, or other design.
- Print a single sample using the planned size and material.
- Scan that physical proof in lighting and from the distance customers are likely to encounter it. Confirm the phone reads the code and that it still leads toward the correct business’s review flow.
- If it is difficult to scan, adjust the code’s size, contrast, placement, or surrounding artwork, then print and test another proof before ordering a larger batch.
Google says businesses can print and display the code in-store, but its help does not specify a required QR size, contrast standard, or testing procedure. The proof is useful because it checks the actual printed result, not just the digital image.
Choose where customers will encounter the request
Google lists receipts, thank-you emails, chat interactions, and in-store printing or display as ways to share a review request. Choose a format that fits the customer interaction and available space. A link can suit an email or chat; a printed code can suit a receipt or an in-store display. Google does not rank these options. A tabletop or acrylic holder is optional: the Google QR code itself does not require a special display product.

Invite honest feedback without offering a reward
Ask customers for an honest review after a genuine experience, and do not request a particular star rating. Google says reviews must reflect genuine experiences and prohibits offering free or discounted goods or services in exchange for reviews; incentives to change or remove reviews are also prohibited. Customers must be signed in to a Google Account to post a review. Google says that account does not have to use a Gmail address. A working QR code takes a customer to the review flow; it does not remove the account sign-in requirement. Google’s review guidance.
