Samsung says the screen flashes when the screenshot is captured. You can then open Gallery → Albums → Screenshots to find it.
Take a screenshot with the buttons
- Open the screen you want to save.
- Press the Power/Side button and Volume Down at the same time for a brief moment, then release both buttons. Do not hold them down for an extended period.
- Look for the screen flash that indicates the capture succeeded.
This is the standard method described in Samsung’s screenshot instructions. Button names and behavior can vary slightly with the A03s variant, software version, or carrier.

Capture a long or scrolling page
Take a normal screenshot first. If the Scroll capture control appears—Samsung depicts it with two downward arrows—tap it to extend the image down the page. Tap again while the control remains available to capture more content.

This works only when the page extends beyond the screen and the app allows capture. Android Help describes scrolling screenshots as available on Android 12 and later on most screens that support scrolling; the option is not guaranteed in every app or on every A03s software build. Use Palm swipe if it is available
Some Samsung software builds offer a hand-swipe gesture as an alternative to pressing the buttons. Samsung’s support pages describe enabling it under Settings → Advanced features; on some versions the route continues through Motions and gestures → Palm swipe to capture. Enable the setting, then swipe the edge of your hand across the screen.
The gesture may be absent or off by default, and menu names can differ by region and software version. If you cannot find it, use the button combination instead. Samsung’s support instructions note that feature availability can vary by device and software.

Find, edit, or share the screenshot
Open Gallery → Albums → Screenshots. Immediately after a capture, Samsung may also show a preview with options to edit, crop, or share. If those post-capture controls do not appear, look for the Screenshot toolbar setting; the A03s manual lists a toolbar option, but the exact settings path may depend on the installed software. The Galaxy A03s user manual is available from AT&T.

If the screenshot shortcut does not work
- Press and release Power/Side and Volume Down together briefly rather than holding them down.
- Check that both buttons respond normally, especially Volume Down.
- If a particular app displays a restriction message or produces no capture, it may block screenshots for privacy or security. That restriction does not by itself indicate a phone fault.
- If Palm swipe is unavailable, use the button method; gesture availability depends on the software configuration.
- If Scroll capture is missing, confirm the page can scroll and try a different app. Some screens do not permit scrolling screenshots.
Samsung’s Galaxy A03s support page identifies the device family, while exact menus and features can differ across A03s variants and firmware.
