In Safari, press the two screenshot buttons for your iPhone model, tap the thumbnail, then choose Full Page to capture the entire webpage. Save that capture to Photos as an image or to Files as a PDF.
The quickest method
- Open the website in Safari and navigate to the page you need.
- On an iPhone without a Home button, quickly press and release the Side and Volume Up buttons together. On an iPhone with a Home button, quickly press and release Side and Home together.
- Tap the screenshot thumbnail that appears in the lower-left corner. If you do nothing, the screenshot is saved automatically to your photo library.
- For the whole webpage rather than the visible screen, tap Full Page. Review the long preview, crop it if necessary, and choose an output.
The same button combinations work on any screen. The Full Page option is the Safari workflow for content that continues below the screen.
How to capture an entire Safari webpage
1. Open the page in Safari
Load the page completely before capturing it. If images or sections are still appearing, wait until the content you want is visible. Full-page capture follows the webpage as Safari has loaded it; it is not a separate print-layout engine.
2. Trigger the screenshot for your model
- No Home button: press and release Side + Volume Up at the same time.
- Home button: press and release Side + Home at the same time.
Use a quick press-and-release rather than holding the buttons. Holding them can open the power-off or emergency interface instead of taking a screenshot.

3. Switch from Screen to Full Page
Tap the thumbnail immediately after capture, then select Full Page at the top of the editor. A vertical preview shows the material beyond the original viewport. Drag through the preview to inspect it and use the crop controls if the capture includes content you do not need.
4. Save in the format you need
Choose the destination from the sharing and save controls. A full-page image can be saved to Photos. A full-page document can be saved with Save PDF to Files. The visible-screen screenshot is also stored automatically in Photos unless you delete it from the preview.

Apple documents the image and PDF choices as separate outputs. Do not assume that the image and PDF will have identical pagination or rendering; inspect the saved result when exact layout matters.
Save an annotated webpage as a PDF
Use this route when arrows, highlights, signatures, or handwritten notes are more important than a plain screenshot:

- With the webpage open in Safari, tap Share.
- Choose Markup.
- Add your annotations, if needed.
- Use the save option in the Markup view to create the PDF.
Safari’s toolbar can be arranged with tabs at the top or bottom. The Share button remains the entry point, but its position can change with that layout.
Other ways to trigger a screenshot
If pressing physical buttons is difficult, Apple’s iPhone guidance also documents Siri, AssistiveTouch, and Back Tap as screenshot triggers. These alternatives still produce the normal screenshot preview; use the thumbnail to reach Full Page when Safari offers it.
- Siri: invoke Siri and ask it to take a screenshot.
- AssistiveTouch: configure an on-screen action for screenshots, then use that control instead of the buttons.
- Back Tap: assign a double- or triple-tap on the back of the phone to the screenshot action.
Troubleshooting
The screenshot preview disappeared
The capture is normally already in Photos. Open Photos and look in the recent items. Take another screenshot if you need to edit it; the thumbnail is only the shortcut to the editor.
There is no Full Page tab
Full Page is associated with Safari’s webpage capture. Confirm that the page is open in Safari rather than another app, and open the screenshot editor by tapping the thumbnail immediately after taking the shot. Some screens do not expose a scrollable webpage to the full-page tool, so the option may not appear even though a normal screenshot works.

The capture stops before the bottom
Wait for lazy-loaded sections, images, or expandable content to finish loading before taking the screenshot. Full-page capture reflects what Safari loaded. If the page requires a button to reveal more material, expand it first and recapture.
The wrong buttons opened a power menu
Release both buttons quickly. Do not hold Side and Volume Up. On Home-button models, use Side and Home together; on other models, use Side and Volume Up.
I cannot find the PDF
Use Save PDF to Files in the full-page editor and select a folder you recognize, such as On My iPhone or iCloud Drive. Then open the Files app and browse to that folder. Saving the image to Photos is a different action and will not create a PDF.
The PDF needs notes, but I started with a plain screenshot
Use Safari’s Share → Markup route instead. It is a separate PDF workflow designed for annotation, so create the marked-up document from the webpage again rather than expecting the plain image editor to change formats.

Inspect the full vertical preview before sharing. Crop or redact sensitive sections, and remember that a full-page capture can include material that was far below the initial screen.

Does a full-page screenshot include content I have not scrolled to?
Safari’s Full Page mode is specifically intended to capture content beyond the visible screen of an entire webpage. Content that has not loaded, is hidden behind an interaction, or is unavailable to Safari may not appear.

They are separate Safari workflows. The documented steps do not establish that their pagination or rendering is identical, so choose the route that matches whether you need a plain capture or an annotated document.

Can I use Full Page for every app screen?
The documented Full Page workflow is for a webpage in Safari. Other apps can still produce ordinary screen screenshots, but their support for a scrollable full-page capture is not established by this workflow.
Where should I keep a screenshot I need to edit later?
Keep an image in Photos for image editing and sharing, or save a PDF to a recognizable Files folder when you need document markup, filing, or printing.
