For most two-monitor screenshots, press Windows+Shift+S, choose a Snipping Tool mode, and select the area or window you need. For a complete desktop snapshot, use Full screen in Snipping Tool or press Print Screen to copy the entire screen to the clipboard. If you need one image that spans both extended monitors, capture it and inspect the result on your exact Windows and display setup before relying on it: Microsoft documents the capture controls, but does not promise one universal cross-monitor composition for every configuration.
Set up the two displays first
Windows can show the same desktop on both displays or spread one desktop across them. Your choice affects what “both screens” means in a screenshot.
- Press Windows+P.
- Choose Extend to make one desktop that continues from one monitor to the other, or choose Duplicate to show the same desktop on both displays. The other choices are PC screen only and Second screen only.
- To check numbering and physical order, open Settings > System > Display. Select Identify if you need the monitor numbers, then drag the display rectangles so their arrangement matches your desk.
Microsoft describes extended displays as a desktop across multiple screens, allowing items to move between them (Microsoft’s multiple-monitor guide). A mismatch between the on-screen arrangement and the physical monitors can make a selected rectangle feel reversed or offset.
Capture both screens with Snipping Tool
Use the full-screen mode
- Press Windows+Shift+S to open the Snipping Tool overlay.
- Select Full screen. Windows captures the full screen view available to Snipping Tool.
- Open the notification that appears. In the editor, review the image, annotate or crop it, and choose Save (or press Ctrl+S).
On an extended desktop, inspect the saved image to confirm whether it contains both monitors in the way you require. The final composition can depend on display arrangement, Windows version, scaling, and the capture path; do not assume a particular width or a guaranteed combined canvas without checking.

- DUAL MONITOR SETUP - Curved monitors in a dual setup provide a seamless viewing experience with reduced peripheral distortion, ideal for immersive gaming or detailed work.
- ERGONOMIC DESIGN - The 1500R curved design provides a more comfortable viewing experience by reducing eye strain and neck fatigue, allowing for longer periods of use with less discomfort.
- FAST RESPONSE TIME - Fast response times reduce ghosting & blurring while transitioning pixels, always keeping the enemy & terrain precisely in focus during chaotic moments.
- TRUE TO LIFE COLORS - Experience vibrant and true-to-life colors with a 98% sRGB color gamut performance, ensuring accurate and stunning visuals for all your creative and multimedia tasks.
- ENHANCED 75HZ REFRESH RATE - Enjoy unparalleled responsiveness and seamless visuals that will take your gaming experience to the next level.
Select a rectangle across the monitors
- Press Windows+Shift+S.
- Choose Rectangle.
- Drag from one edge of the desired area on one monitor to the other monitor. Move the pointer across the display boundary while dragging.
- Use the notification to open the capture, then edit and save it.
This is the practical way to capture part of both screens. If the overlay will not let you drag across the boundary, capture each monitor separately and combine the files in an image editor; that produces two known images rather than an unverified single canvas.
Use Freeform when the area is irregular
Choose Freeform in the overlay and draw around the content you need. Freeform is useful when windows occupy non-rectangular portions of the desktop, but it may be slower for a precise two-monitor panorama.
Capture one monitor, one window, or the active app
One monitor or a selected area
Press Windows+Shift+S, then choose Rectangle. Select only the monitor or region you want. This avoids including notifications, a second display, or sensitive material elsewhere on the desktop.
A specific application window
Press Windows+Shift+S, choose Window, and click the app window. Snipping Tool captures the selected window rather than the entire two-monitor desktop.

The active window with a keyboard shortcut
Press Alt+Print Screen to copy the active window to the clipboard. Open Paint, an email, a document, or another image-capable app and press Ctrl+V, then save the pasted image there.
Use Print Screen when you want a clipboard copy
Microsoft describes Print Screen (PrtSc) as placing a static image snapshot of your entire screen in the clipboard (Microsoft’s Print Screen instructions). The workflow is:
- Press Print Screen.
- Open the destination app.
- Press Ctrl+V to paste the image.
- Save or export it from that app.
Unlike Snipping Tool’s notification/editor flow, Print Screen does not by itself give you a saved file in a folder. If nothing appears after pressing the key, paste immediately into Paint or another app to verify that the clipboard contains the capture.
On some keyboards, the key is labeled PrtSc, PrtScn, or shares a function layer. If required by your keyboard, hold Fn while pressing the printed key.

- WORK SEAMLESSLY: This sleek monitor is virtually bezel-free on three sides, so the screen looks even bigger for the viewer. This minimalistic design also allows for seamless multi-monitor setups that enhance your workflow and boost productivity
- A BETTER READING EXPERIENCE: For busy office workers, EasyRead mode provides a more paper-like experience for when viewing lengthy documents
Where the screenshot goes
- Snipping Tool: open the notification to review, edit, and save. Use Ctrl+S in the editor and choose a location and image format.
- Print Screen or Alt+Print Screen: the image is in the clipboard. Paste it with Ctrl+V; it is not necessarily written to a file automatically.
- Clipboard overwritten: taking another clipboard capture replaces the previous one, so paste or save the first image before capturing again.
If the notification disappears, press the Windows key and type Snipping Tool to open the app. You can then use its capture button and save the result from the editor.
Which method should you choose?

| Irregular area | Windows+Shift+S > Freeform | Freehand selection in Snipping Tool |
| Fast clipboard copy | Print Screen | Entire-screen snapshot in the clipboard |
| Only the active window | Alt+Print Screen | Active-window snapshot in the clipboard |
How to get a reliable image spanning both monitors
There is no single documented result that applies to every extended-display arrangement. Treat a cross-monitor image as something to verify:
- Set Windows+P > Extend.
- Confirm monitor order and scaling in Settings > System > Display.
- Take a full-screen capture with Snipping Tool.
- Save it, then check the left and right edges, taskbars, window positions, and text clarity.
- If it omits a monitor or produces an unusable layout, take one capture per monitor and join them manually, or use a rectangle selection that you can verify.
Do not publish dimensions as universal. Different resolutions, DPI scaling, portrait orientation, taskbars, and Windows editions can change the resulting image. Microsoft’s guidance establishes the controls and shortcuts, not a guaranteed combined width.
Troubleshooting two-monitor screenshots
The second monitor is missing
- Press Windows+P and select Extend, not PC screen only or Second screen only.
- In Settings > System > Display, select Detect if Windows does not show the display.
- Check the saved image rather than the overlay preview; the preview can be easy to misread on a wide desktop.
The screenshot is duplicated instead of spanning the desktop
Duplicate intentionally shows the same output on each display. Switch to Extend for a desktop spread across monitors, then capture again.

- Compatible with Wide Screens - To ensure compatibility with the dual monitor mount, your each monitor must meet three conditions at the same time: First, computer screens size range: 13 to 32 inches. Second, screen weight range: 4.4 to 19.8 lbs. Third, the back of the monitor screen must have VESA mounting holes with a pitch of 75x75mm or 100x100mm.
- Regarding the compatibility with desks - Your desk must meet three conditions at the same time: First, desk material: Only wooden desks are recommended, plastic or glass desks cannot be used. Second, desk thickness range: 0.59" - 3.54". Third, the bottom of the desk should not have any cross beams or panels, as this will interfere with installation. We recommend carefully checking that your desk and monitors meets all above conditions before purchasing.
- Dual C-Clamp Hold - Worried your dual monitors might wobble or slip? Our upgraded base uses a larger platform plus a dual C-clamp structure to lock the dual monitor arm firmly to your desk. Each arm safely keeps your screens steady while you type, click and game—no shaking, no sliding, just a clean and secure setup you can trust every day. It also provides Grommet Mounting installation choice, both options ensure stable and secure fixation for your 0.59" - 3.54" desk.
- Full-Motion Adjustment For Comfortable View - Pull the screen closer when you’re deep in a spreadsheet, push it back to watch videos, or rotate to portrait for coding — moving everything smoothly with just one hand. The monitor stand offers +85°/-50° tilt, ±90° swivel and 360° rotation. Raise your monitor up to 15.75″ to support a healthy sitting posture. Whether you’re working from home, gaming through the night, or switching between video calls and documents, getting the screens to your natural line of sight helps relieve neck, shoulder and back strain so you can stay focused longer with less fatigue.
- Keep Your Desk Organized: By lifting both screens off the desktop, this dual monitor stand opens up valuable space for your keyboard, notebook, docking station or a simple, clutter-free work area. Built-in cable management guides wires along the arms, keeping cords out of sight and out of the way. Enjoy a tidy, modern workstation that looks as good as it feels to use.
Print Screen appears to do nothing
It copies to the clipboard. Open Paint or another destination and press Ctrl+V. If your keyboard uses a function layer, try Fn+PrtSc.
The image is blank, cropped, or the wrong window
Repeat with Snipping Tool’s Window or Rectangle mode. For protected video, remote-desktop surfaces, or applications that block capture, Windows may not provide ordinary pixels; use an approved export or recording function instead of trying to bypass protection.
The text is tiny or blurry
Mixed resolutions and display scaling can make a combined desktop hard to read. Capture the relevant window or region at its native size, or save separate monitor images. Avoid enlarging a low-resolution clipboard image after capture.
