Set SmartUI to capture the mobile viewport
-
In your SmartUI mobile capture configuration, set
fullPage: false. This tells the capture to show the currently visible viewport instead of extending down the whole page. The SmartUI SDK advanced configuration documentation says mobilefullPagedefaults totrue. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Capture the page and inspect the result at the intended mobile size. Verify that the content visible in the screenshot matches the viewport and orientation you selected.
The configuration controls the capture mode and screen context, but it does not guarantee that every page element will render identically across devices or that every website structure will behave the same way.

Choose viewport-only or full-page capture
| Capture mode | Setting | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Visible mobile viewport | fullPage: false |
Shows only the area currently visible in the mobile browser window. |
| Full mobile page | fullPage: true |
Extends the screenshot across the page. The SmartUI SDK documentation states this is the mobile default. |
SmartUI also documents a hook for taking an explicit full-page screenshot. If your workflow uses that hook, make sure it matches your intent; the SmartUI Hooks guide shows a full-page hook and a configuration object that can set fullPage: true.
Set mobile size and orientation carefully
Viewport dimensions determine the shape of the browser area captured; device selection and orientation determine the mobile context used by the Responsive DOM workflow. Choose the dimensions and orientation for the result you need, rather than assuming that the label “mobile” alone sets an exact screenshot size.

The Responsive DOM documentation describes workflow-specific resizing caveats: Firefox has a documented minimum DOM width of 450 px, and the Selenium Chrome resizing setup described there cannot resize below 500 px. These are limitations of the documented setup, not universal browser limits.
Handle content that appears after the page loads
Some websites render images or other content asynchronously or only after a delay. The Responsive DOM guide demonstrates an optional waitForTimeout setting. Use a wait only when the page needs it, then inspect the screenshot to confirm the delayed content has appeared; a timeout setting does not guarantee every page will finish loading within the same interval.
