To use the same Chrome homepage setup on multiple devices, set the homepage or startup behavior in Chrome, sign in to each device with the same Google Account, and turn on Chrome sync. Google documents syncing Chrome settings generally, but does not guarantee that a custom homepage setting will match across every platform and Chrome version—check the destination device.
Homepage and startup page are different settings
Chrome’s startup page appears when you first launch Chrome. The homepage appears when you select Home. You can set them to the same page, but Chrome treats them as separate controls.

Set the page on a computer
Choose what opens at launch
In Chrome, go to Settings → On startup. Choose whether to open the New Tab page, continue where you left off, or open a specific page or set of pages.

Go to Settings → Appearance, show the Home button, then choose Chrome’s New Tab page or enter a custom page. Google’s computer instructions cover both settings.

Set the homepage on Android
In Chrome for Android, open More → Settings → Homepage, then select Chrome’s homepage or enter a custom page. Google documents this path in its Android instructions. These instructions cover the homepage; they do not establish a matching startup-page control for every platform.
Turn on Chrome sync on your devices
- Set the homepage or startup behavior on the device where you want to configure it.
- Sign in to Chrome on each other device with the same Google Account.
- Turn on Chrome sync. In Chrome’s sync controls, review Manage what you sync or the equivalent setting available on that device.
- Open Chrome on the destination device and check the homepage and startup behavior there.
Google says Chrome settings and preferences can be available on another device after signing in and turning on sync. See the Chrome setup guide and Chrome sync help for account and sync details. General settings-sync guidance is not a guarantee that a custom homepage value propagates identically across platforms or Chrome releases.

When you cannot change the setting
On a work or school Chromebook, a network administrator may control homepage or startup pages. Chrome Enterprise policies can set pages to open at startup and may apply to managed browsers or user accounts. If a setting is unavailable or keeps reverting, check whether Chrome or the account is managed and contact your administrator. See Google’s Chrome policy guidance and Chrome Sync and your data.
If the homepage changed unexpectedly
On a computer, an unexpected homepage or startup-page change may indicate unwanted software. Google recommends resetting Chrome settings and addressing unwanted software; consult its homepage and startup help for the relevant guidance.
