On a compatible Mac, you can summon Siri in macOS 27 Golden Gate by saying an enabled listening phrase, clicking Siri in the menu bar, or pressing the keyboard shortcut shown in Siri settings. Voice activation depends on device, language, and region; the menu-bar and shortcut options are alternatives.
Choose a way to summon Siri

Set up voice activation
- Open Apple menu > System Settings.
- Select Siri or Apple Intelligence & Siri, depending on which appears on your Mac.
- In Siri settings, open the Listen for option and choose an available phrase, such as “Siri” or “Hey Siri.”
- Complete the on-screen setup. If the phrase you want is not offered, voice activation may not be available for that device, language, or region.

Show Siri in the menu bar
You can expose the Siri icon through either of these routes:

- Open System Settings > Menu Bar and select Siri.
- Open Control Center, choose Edit Controls, then drag Siri from the controls gallery or Control Center to the menu bar.
Apple documents both approaches in Customise the menu bar on Mac. Once the icon is visible, click it to open Siri.

Check or change the keyboard shortcut
- Open Apple menu > System Settings, then choose Siri or Apple Intelligence & Siri.
- Open the Keyboard shortcut control.
- Select one of the listed shortcuts or create a custom one, then use the shortcut displayed there to summon Siri.
Apple’s Siri settings documentation describes the configurable keyboard shortcut but does not establish one universal macOS 27 default. Your Mac’s current setting is the reliable reference.
Check whether your Mac can run macOS 27
Apple says macOS 27 Golden Gate is compatible with any Mac with Apple silicon, including M-series and A-series chip Macs. That operating-system compatibility does not guarantee that every Siri voice or AI feature is available in every language or region. What changed in macOS 27
