YouTube’s published guidance explains encoder livestreaming but does not specifically pre-approve every continuous 24/7 prerecorded setup, so treat this as a workflow subject to YouTube’s rules—not a guaranteed approved format.
Check channel eligibility and rights first
Confirm livestream access
Before building a continuous schedule, verify the channel and confirm it has had no livestream restriction in the preceding 90 days. YouTube states that livestreamers must be at least 16. Check the current requirements in YouTube’s livestreaming overview; access can also be affected by copyright strikes and other policy issues.

YouTube’s overview lists a maximum of 10 active streams per channel and three active streams per stream key. These are platform limits, not a recommendation to run that many broadcasts. Plan the channel and stream key around the single class feed you intend to operate.
Clear every part of each recording
Make sure you have rights to the complete class recordings and all included materials: music, slides, images, and video clips. YouTube says, “All live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in the form of another live broadcast.” If YouTube identifies third-party content, it may replace the stream with a placeholder and warn you; if the material remains, the stream may be interrupted or terminated. For licensed third-party content, ask the rights owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. See YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams.

Set up a recorded-class livestream with an encoder
YouTube documents encoder-based livestreaming as a way to send a live feed. The official guidance does not specify a required computer configuration, encoder package, cloud provider, or India-specific bandwidth threshold. Choose an encoder and equipment that can reliably play and transmit your own recordings, then check the encoder’s current instructions for its exact controls.
- Prepare the class videos. Organize the recordings into the order students should watch them. Check that each file plays correctly and that its audio, slides, and other included materials are cleared for broadcast. Decide whether the feed should loop and how you will handle gaps between classes.
- Verify and open livestreaming in YouTube Studio. Sign in to the eligible, verified channel and go to YouTube Studio, then select Create > Go live. Follow YouTube’s prompts to configure the stream. If livestreaming is unavailable, resolve the channel eligibility or restriction issue rather than switching to another channel to evade it.
- Choose an encoder workflow. Use an encoder capable of playing the prepared recordings in sequence and sending the output to YouTube. The platform guidance establishes the encoder route, not a particular software product or preset. Confirm the encoder’s supported input formats and playlist or looping behavior in its own documentation.
- Connect the encoder to YouTube. In the live control room, copy the stream key or connection details YouTube provides and enter them in the encoder’s streaming destination settings. Treat the key like a password: do not post it in class materials or share it with people who should not control the broadcast.
- Start and verify the feed. Start the encoder output, then check YouTube Studio’s live preview and status before relying on the stream. Confirm that both picture and sound are present and that the expected recording is playing. Use the live control room to monitor the broadcast.
- Keep the feed supervised. A 24/7 schedule needs an operating plan for encoder or network disconnections, playback ending, and YouTube policy or copyright warnings. Decide who can check the live control room and restart the encoder when needed. YouTube’s published overview does not promise that a prerecorded feed will remain uninterrupted indefinitely.
Choose local equipment or a hosted encoder
With a local setup, your own computer runs the encoder and plays the class recordings. That gives you direct control, but continuity depends on the equipment and connection remaining available. A hosted encoder moves that operating task to a service provider; assess any service against the intended playlist workflow and the provider’s stated recovery behavior. The official YouTube documentation does not compare these approaches or establish which is more reliable or economical.
Before choosing, compare who is responsible for uptime, recovery after a disconnection, account and stream-key security, total cost, and support for prerecorded playlists. No particular computer specification or paid service is required by the cited YouTube overview. A UPS may be relevant if you operate locally, but it is optional rather than a YouTube requirement.

StreamNeo is a YouTube-only cloud service for keeping uploaded videos live. Upload the class recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. The cloud keeps the stream running without a computer or home connection staying on, and StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. Videos play as uploaded at any quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot. The first day is free with no card; the Monthly plan is $9.99 per month. UPI and cards are available in India. This does not remove your responsibility to clear rights or comply with YouTube policies. Start the free day with StreamNeo.

Troubleshoot common interruptions
- You cannot start a livestream: Confirm channel verification and check for a livestream restriction within the previous 90 days. Follow YouTube’s eligibility prompts; do not try to bypass a restriction using another channel.
- The encoder connects but the preview is blank or silent: Check that the selected video is playing, the encoder has the correct input and audio source, and the stream key or connection details match the current YouTube live setup.
- YouTube replaces the feed or issues a warning: Review the recording and all included music, slides, images, and clips for third-party content. Remove material you do not have rights to use, or ask the rights owner to add your channel to the Content ID allowlist where you have a license.
- The stream stops unexpectedly: Check the encoder and connection, then inspect YouTube Studio for a policy or copyright notice. Restart only after addressing the cause; a restart cannot override an account restriction.
- The planned playlist does not continue: Confirm the encoder’s playlist and looping behavior in its own documentation and test the sequence before relying on it for an unattended schedule.
