To stream an NFL game, first check which network or service carries that specific matchup in your location, then choose a supported device and sign in to the required service. NFL+ is not a universal live-game option: its live local and primetime regular-season and postseason games are for phones and tablets only, and cannot be cast to a TV. Out-of-market Sunday afternoon games require NFL Sunday Ticket, which is separate from NFL+.
Find the service carrying the game you want
There is no single streaming app that carries every NFL game everywhere. Broadcast assignments change by season, matchup and market, so check the current NFL Ways to Watch listing and local listings for the exact game before choosing a subscription.

The NFL’s current regular-season guide gives this general map:
Recommended Free Tools
| Game or coverage | Network or service | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Local-market Sunday afternoon games | CBS or FOX | The station carrying the game in your local market and whether you have access through a service or participating TV provider. |
| Sunday Night Football | NBC | Current game listing and access through NBC or a participating provider. |
| Monday Night Football | ESPN or ABC | Which broadcast is assigned to the matchup and whether your plan includes it. |
| Thursday Night Football and the Black Friday game | Amazon Prime Video | The current season schedule and service terms. |
| Selected games | NFL Network | Whether the game is on NFL Network and whether your plan or provider includes the channel. |
| Special games | Varies; the NFL guide lists YouTube for the São Paulo game and Netflix for Christmas games | The current season’s listing for that specific event. |
These are season-specific assignments, not a promise that every game on a named network is available in every location or subscription. Blackout restrictions, location, plan and provider can affect access.

Watch on a phone or tablet
Use NFL+ for eligible live games
NFL+ offers live local and primetime regular-season and postseason games on phones and tablets, subject to market and broadcast rules. That is different from receiving every game: an out-of-market Sunday afternoon game is not available live through NFL+.
NFL+ also provides live NFL Network and live audio. NFL+ Premium adds NFL RedZone and game replays. These are distinct types of access: a replay, audio stream, NFL Network broadcast and RedZone feed are not the same as a live stream of a particular game. The NFL’s help pages give conflicting counts for NFL Network live games, so check the current schedule rather than relying on a season-wide number.

Use the game’s broadcaster or service app
If the matchup is carried by a network or streaming service, its app may be the right option for mobile viewing. Confirm that the specific game is included with your subscription or provider login; installing an app alone does not provide game rights.
Watch on a smart TV or streaming device
Check the NFL app’s device support
The NFL lists Apple TV, Android/Google TV, Fire TV, Roku, Xbox Series S/X, and certain Samsung, LG and Vizio models as supported platforms. Compatibility depends on the model and software version, not just the brand. Review the NFL’s NFL+ compatible-device list for supported models and minimum versions; an unlisted device may have limited NFL functionality.

Even on a supported TV, installing the NFL app does not make NFL+ live local and primetime regular-season or postseason games available on that screen. Those live NFL+ games are mobile-only. On a TV, use the app for the network or streaming service carrying the game, or sign in through a participating TV provider where that content is supported.
Do not cast mobile-only NFL+ live games
The NFL says live local and primetime games in NFL+ cannot be cast to a television. Casting may work for other NFL+ content, but it is not a workaround for watching those live games on a TV. See the NFL’s casting guidance.

If your TV is not supported
A supported connected-TV device, such as a Roku streaming device, may let you use the NFL app on a television that cannot run it directly. Check the device list first. The hardware provides a way to run compatible apps; it does not unlock a subscription, local broadcast or out-of-market game rights.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsWatch on a computer
For a computer, start with the website or service carrying the specific game, and check its account and provider-login requirements. NFL.com/web access and live desktop viewing can depend on the content and provider authentication. An NFL+ subscription should not be treated as access to every live game in a desktop browser. The NFL explains the differences between mobile, computer and television access in its device-access guidance.

Watch an out-of-market Sunday afternoon game
The NFL says out-of-market Sunday afternoon games require NFL Sunday Ticket, available through YouTube TV and YouTube. Sunday Ticket is separate from NFL+; an NFL+ subscription does not include it. Check the NFL Sunday Ticket access information for current availability and terms.
Use a TV-provider login when it applies
A participating cable or streaming TV-provider account can authenticate access to NFL Network and local CBS, FOX and NBC stations where supported. It unlocks only channels and games included in the provider’s package and allowed for your location; it is not a pass to every NFL game. The NFL also notes third-party authentication for Paramount+ and Peacock subscribers. See the TV-provider authentication guidance for participating providers and supported access.
Watching from outside the United States
NFL support directs international viewers to DAZN for NFL Game Pass International. NFL+ is U.S.-only and unavailable in U.S. territories. Availability can differ by country, so check DAZN’s current country-specific game coverage before subscribing. The NFL’s international and Sunday Ticket access information describes these service boundaries.
Quick Recap

- Identify the exact game and confirm its current network or streaming-service assignment.
- Check whether the game is local, national/primetime or out-of-market; Sunday Ticket is required for out-of-market Sunday afternoon games.
- Match the service to your screen. NFL+ live local and primetime games work on phones and tablets, not TVs or casting.
- Confirm that your subscription or participating TV provider includes the channel or game.
- Verify the exact TV model and software against the NFL’s supported-device list.
- Check location and blackout restrictions, then test the relevant app or browser and sign in before the broadcast begins.
