To stream a prepared Hindi bhajan video loop on YouTube Live, create an encoder stream in YouTube Studio, send the video and audio from a software or hardware encoder using the stream URL and key, preview the feed, and start the broadcast. Before going live, confirm you have rights to every recording and visual, test your upload connection, and plan a local recording or shorter sessions: YouTube says a stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured in its archive.
Before you set up the bhajan live stream
Confirm rights to the complete video
Make sure you have permission to stream each audio recording and video element. “Bhajan” describes a type of devotional song; it does not mean a particular composition, translation, arrangement, recording, photograph, or video is free to use. YouTube’s Livestream terms and conditions place responsibility for necessary rights, including music licensing rights, on the person providing the live content.

If you have a licence for third-party material, ask the rights owner whether they need to add your channel to a Content ID allowlist. A licence does not necessarily prevent an automated live interruption if the channel is not allowlisted. Rights depend on the specific work and applicable jurisdiction; check with the relevant rights owner for the material you intend to use.
Check that your channel is eligible
YouTube’s live-streaming help says the channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. YouTube’s general live-streaming guidance also sets a minimum age of 16. If this is your first live stream, enable the feature well ahead of time: first-time activation can take up to 24 hours.

Create an encoder stream in YouTube Studio
- Sign in to YouTube Studio and select Create → Go Live.
- Create a new stream or schedule it for later, following the prompts in Live Control Room. Choose the encoder workflow for a prepared video feed.
- Copy the YouTube server URL and stream key shown in Live Control Room into the corresponding stream settings in your encoder. Treat the key like a password: anyone with it may be able to send a feed to your stream.
- Start the encoder’s transmission. Wait for the video to appear in Live Control Room, then check both picture and sound in the preview before starting the public broadcast.
- While live, keep Live Control Room open to monitor stream health and respond if the feed or connection fails.
YouTube’s encoder setup instructions cover this workflow. Studio labels can change, so follow the current prompts if they differ from these steps.
Choose an encoder and settings that fit your connection
Software or hardware
A software encoder on a computer is enough to send a prepared loop; YouTube also supports standalone hardware encoders. A dedicated device is optional, not a requirement. Consider hardware only if it suits your production needs or you do not want the encoding workload on your computer. The important practical distinction for an all-day stream is whether you can keep the encoder and internet connection running, monitor the feed, and recover from a failure.

Match video settings to the source and available upload speed
Use YouTube’s current recommended encoder settings as the reference for protocol, codec, resolution, frame rate, and bitrate. YouTube recommends RTMPS and publishes different H.264 bitrate recommendations for different resolutions and frame rates; for example, its table lists 4 Mbps for 720p at 60 fps and 5 Mbps for 1080p at 30 fps. These are configuration-specific recommendations, not universal minimums. Match the settings to your source video and the upload bandwidth available at the streaming location.
Do not set the encoder’s total streaming bitrate above your reliable upload capacity. YouTube’s streaming tips recommend leaving 20% headroom. Test the actual picture and audio before the broadcast, check the Live Control Room preview, and monitor stream health after going live. If the connection is unreliable, reduce the bitrate or resolution and test again rather than running at the edge of your upload capacity.

Plan the duration and preserve a replay
A live broadcast and its YouTube replay archive are separate things. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, but a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. If a replay matters, record locally as a backup or schedule shorter sessions with breaks before the 12-hour threshold. Check the current Studio controls before scheduling because platform behavior and interface details can change.
Common problems and what to check
- No preview appears in Live Control Room: Confirm the encoder is sending to the server URL and stream key for this stream, and that transmission has started. Recheck for copied characters or spaces in the key.
- Video appears but audio is missing or wrong: Check the encoder’s audio source and selected audio track, then verify the sound in the preview before going live.
- The stream buffers or loses connection: Check upload stability and bitrate. Leave the recommended bandwidth headroom; lower the bitrate or resolution if the connection cannot sustain the current settings.
- YouTube replaces the feed or interrupts the stream: A live copyright match can trigger a placeholder, interruption, or termination. Review the rights for the matched material and, if it is licensed, check with the rights owner about Content ID allowlisting.
- The live stream works but no replay appears: If it ran longer than 12 hours, YouTube may not have captured it. A local recording or shorter planned sessions are safer when preserving the full program is important.
