The best way to stay warm at a baseball game is to wear thin layers close to your body, top them with a wind-resistant outer layer, and keep any extra gear low and compact. That answers the familiar cold-game question—“What’s the best way to stay warm while at the game?”—without relying on a blanket or umbrella held where it blocks the row behind you.
What to wear for warmth without blocking the view

Keep umbrellas and other gear out of sightlines
Yankee Stadium says an umbrella may be used only if it protects the guest holding it and does not interfere with other guests’ enjoyment or ability to view the event. Even where an item is allowed, keep it low and unobtrusive. An open umbrella, raised blanket, or bulky item that obstructs another fan can make the game harder to see.

Remember water in cold weather
Cold conditions do not eliminate the possibility of dehydration. The Bears’ game-day guidance notes that cold-weather dehydration is possible and encourages fans to drink water through the game. It gives no numeric hydration target, so follow your own needs and any relevant medical advice rather than treating a fixed amount as a stadium-specific rule.
