WARDOGS’ optional Wager Vendor is scheduled to arrive with Season 2 on October 15, 2026. It lets players stake in-game cash on selected objectives, choosing how many deaths they are willing to spend trying to complete them. The feature is experimental; the announcement does not provide exact odds, stake limits or payout rules. It describes wagers using the game’s cash economy, not real-money bets.
How to try the Wager Vendor
- Learn the match objective. Three teams compete over a randomized 2×2 km Control Zone. The team with the most players inside scores points; the first team to 100 wins. Team17’s WARDOGS overview describes the core match rules.
- Build familiarity with the cash system. The publisher says players begin with $10,000, buy a custom loadout for each life, and keep cash between matches. Reviving squadmates, transporting teammates and controlling the objective are examples of teamplay actions that earn cash.
- Play the objective and support your team. These are confirmed ways to earn cash, but the announcement does not establish a guaranteed profit route. Older beta reward amounts should not be treated as current Season 2 values.
- Choose whether to wager. If the Wager Vendor is available in the live Season 2 client, select objectives, choose how many deaths you are willing to spend, and set a cash stake. The preview says a live tracker above the minimap shows the stake and progress toward winning or losing it.
- Check the displayed rules before committing. The preview says stacking objectives lengthens the odds and increases the payout, but gives no numerical odds or payout table. Do not assume an objective combination is profitable or that a particular payout is guaranteed.
What the Season 2 wager rules establish
The official WARDOGS Season 02 Preview describes the Wager Vendor as an experimental first pass. Its examples include earning a specified number of Hot Zone kills and delivering a specified number of players. Players select objectives and a death allowance, then put game cash at stake. The preview says the feature is entirely optional and may be removed during the season if it proves too exploitable.

#1 Best Overall
- THE FIRST WORKER-PLACEMENT WARGAME: Take command of Axis and Allied troops at the height of World War II in what its makers call the first-ever worker-placement wargame.
- FROM THE UNDAUNTED DESIGNERS: Created by the designers of the acclaimed Undaunted series, blending worker placement with tactical combat.
- TWO-PLAYER DUELS: A focused head-to-head experience built around tense, deliberate decision-making.
- FRESH GENRE MASHUP: Marries the planning of worker placement with the drama of a wargame.
- AT A GLANCE: 2 players, ages 14 and up. A worker-placement wargame.
- Minimum or maximum stake.
- Exact odds for an objective or a combination of objectives.
- The payout formula, including whether a quoted payout includes the original stake.
- Whether failing consumes the full stake, or exactly how the selected death allowance affects progress or payout.
- Whether a wager can be canceled, abandoned or carried over after leaving a match.
- Whether every announced objective and the Vendor will be available unchanged at Season 2 launch.
How wagers fit the existing cash loop
WARDOGS is a large-scale multiplayer FPS with matches of up to 100 players, according to the publisher. Cash is relevant beyond a wager: players use it to purchase a custom loadout for each life, and the publisher says the balance persists between matches. That makes the practical decision more than whether an objective seems achievable: consider how much cash you can put at risk while still retaining what you need for loadouts.
Because the preview does not disclose odds, stake bounds or settlement behavior, there is not enough information to calculate expected value or compare wager combinations. Treat the feature as optional risk layered on the normal match economy, not as a reliable way to make cash.
Rank #2
- Washingtons War is the long awaited re-design of the original card driven game, We the People. Washington's War, like it's predecessor, pits the forces of a world power (England) against its rebellious American colonists as they fight for their independence.
- Number of Players: 1-2
- Play Time: 90 minutes
Season 2 timing and changes
Team17 and BULKHEAD have scheduled Season 2 for October 15, 2026. The Wager Vendor is announced for that season, rather than described as an existing Season 1 mechanic. Its experimental status means availability and rules could change; the developers explicitly reserve the option to pull it during the season.
