In Destroy a Vault, the basic progression loop is to roll for robots, place them in base slots, send them against a vault, collect Gold, smelt that Gold into Cash, and reinvest in your team and base. A robot you have rolled but not placed is not yet part of the attack loop, according to a third-party beginner guide.
How the progression loop works
- Roll for robots. The official Roblox listing describes rolling for rare robots.
- Place each robot in a slot. A third-party beginner guide says you need a placement slot and must put the robot in your base before it attacks. Follow the current tutorial prompts, since the exact purchase and placement steps may change.
- Let your team attack a vault. The game description presents building an army to attack vaults as the next step in the loop.
- Collect Gold, then smelt it into Cash. The listing describes the conversion as “Smelt Gold and turn it into Cash!” Gold and Cash have different roles: Gold is earned through the vault loop, while Cash is the currency you spend after conversion at the Smelter.
- Reinvest in progress. The listing advertises robot upgrades, base expansion, and access to stronger vaults. A third-party progression guide recommends adding slots for robots you can field and then upgrading them, but this is advice rather than an official, universal spending order.
What to do on your first visit
Use the in-game tutorial as the authority for the current interface. A third-party controls guide suggests this cautious route:

- Complete the visible tutorial prompts and learn where the roll podium and robot slots are.
- Roll for a robot, then make sure it is placed in a slot so it can join attacks.
- Once you have Gold, visit the Smelter and convert it into Cash before trying to spend it.
- Check the Settings or codes panel for currently available codes; the guide identifies that as the place to enter them.
- After seeing the live costs and effects, consider an affordable extra slot or Robot Damage upgrade. Do not assume one purchase order is best for every account.

Gold, Cash, and offline earnings
Think of Gold as the resource you collect and Cash as the spendable result of smelting it. If you have Gold but cannot make a purchase, check whether you still need to use the Smelter.

The official listing also advertises that robots earn Gold while you are offline. It does not state an earning rate, cap, or other limit, so treat the listing as confirmation of the feature—not a promise of a particular amount.
Codes and changing game details
The official listing currently shows RELEASE and UPDATE, and mentions 100K as a surprise code. It does not establish what each code rewards or when it expires. Check the live listing or the in-game code panel before relying on any code; availability and rewards can change.
