To plan Zenless Zone Zero pulls, pick a specific Agent or W-Engine, check that channel’s in-game rules and server deadline, then total the Polychrome, Encrypted Master Tapes and rewards you can actually claim before it ends. Keep Agent and W-Engine budgets separate: their guarantee counters do not share progress. If your budget does not meet your personal risk limit, saving is a valid choice.
Build a pull budget around a target and deadline
- Choose the target and channel. Limited Agents appear on Exclusive Channels; limited W-Engines use W-Engine Channels. Decide which one matters to your roster before calculating what you can spend.
- Check the channel’s own deadline and Details. Use Signal Search in the game and open the relevant channel’s Details. Deadlines are shown in server time; do not assume they match your local clock. Check the current cost, S-Rank thresholds, odds and guarantee status there before spending.
- Count resources already available. Add current Polychrome and the appropriate Master Tapes. Encrypted Master Tapes are for Exclusive Channels; do not treat them as interchangeable with other tape types. A dated fan reference lists a cost of 160 Polychrome or one Encrypted Master Tape per pull, but that conversion was not established in the retrieved official sources. Verify it in the client before using it in a calculation. Zenless Tools’ dated banner reference can serve as a cross-check, not a substitute for in-game rules.
- Add only rewards you can claim in time. Include announced event rewards only if you meet their unlock requirements and can complete them before their deadline. Treat compensation the same way: check eligibility, delivery and claim deadlines rather than counting it automatically.
- Choose a risk limit, then compare. Decide how much you are willing to spend without securing the target. If the available total falls short of that limit, preserve the resources for a later channel instead of pulling just because the current banner is active.
A third-party planner lists a 90-pull hard cap and estimates soft pity from pull 74, but those figures are not an official guarantee in the material cited here. Its expected-pull figures and patch-income ranges are modeled estimates, not a promise of what an account will earn or need. Keep guarantee counters in their own channel families
HoYoverse’s Version 3.2 Phase II limited-channel notice says the guarantee search count accumulates across Exclusive Channels and is independent of other channel types. It separately says W-Engine guarantee counts accumulate across W-Engine Channels and are independent of other types. In practical terms, progress on an Agent channel does not become W-Engine-channel progress, and neither is a universal counter shared across every Signal Search category. Check your current count and guarantee state in the game before deciding how much additional budget you need.
The Version 3.1 channel notice also describes S-Rank Signal Customization and A-Rank rate-up customization for Exclusive and W-Engine channels. Because channel rules can change, rely on the current Details screen rather than assuming an older notice still describes every mechanic.

Compare an Agent pull with a W-Engine pull
These are separate uses of a limited budget, not interchangeable paths to the same guarantee. Compare their value for your account instead of treating a featured item as an automatic priority.
- Account value: Ask whether the Agent fills a roster gap or improves a team you actually use. Consider a W-Engine only against that same practical need.
- Guarantee state: Check the relevant channel family’s counter and guarantee status. Do not count progress from the other family toward your target.
- Time and resources: Estimate what you can obtain before the specific server deadline, including event requirements and claim cutoffs.
- Risk and opportunity cost: Set a maximum you are comfortable spending without the desired result. If an Agent matters more to you than a W-Engine, reserving the budget for the Agent is a coherent plan.
Version 3.2 Phase II: dated banner and reward snapshot
As of October 7, 2026, HoYoverse’s Version 3.2 Phase II notice lists Roxy and Promeia as featured limited S-Rank Agents on Exclusive Channels, and Crimson Moon Casket and Frostfall Sickle as limited W-Engines on W-Engine Channels. The listed channel window is September 30, 2026 at 12:00 through October 20, 2026 at 14:59 server time. This is a dated snapshot, not a standing recommendation; confirm the deadline shown for your own server in-game.

The Version 3.2 All-New Program event notice offers 10 Encrypted Master Tapes for logging in on seven days. It runs after the Version 3.2 update through October 20, 2026 at 03:59 server time, and requires Inter-Knot Lv. 5 plus the stated prologue and event unlock. Its cutoff is earlier than the Phase II channel’s listed end, so only count these tapes if you can meet the requirements and collect them before the event ends.
HoYoverse’s Version 3.2 update announcement says the version began September 9, 2026 at 06:00 UTC+8 and runs 42 days, ending October 21, 2026 at 06:00 UTC+8. It lists 300 Polychrome as server update compensation for eligible players and a separate 300 Polychrome issue-fix compensation with an October 9 claim deadline. These are not guaranteed additions to every account’s budget: check eligibility and whether you can still claim the relevant mail. The version end time is not a replacement for a channel’s own deadline.
