Without membership, your options are to buy at the price available to you, check whether Amazon offers your account an eligible trial or discounted plan, or skip the event deal and compare other offers.
For U.S. readers, Amazon’s fall 2026 event is Prime Big Deal Days, running October 6–7 and ending at 11:59 p.m. PDT on October 7. Amazon’s current FAQ describes it as a 48-hour event. Dates and access rules differ by market and event, so check the current Amazon page for the sale you mean.

Can you get Prime Day deal prices without Prime?
Amazon’s U.S. event FAQ says you need an active Prime membership to access Prime event deals. Seeing an item’s listing does not mean you can claim its Prime event price: check the price and eligibility shown on the product page and at checkout.

Amazon’s U.K. help page explicitly says people without Prime can still purchase items at their non-discounted price. That statement is specific to Amazon UK; it should not be treated as a universal promise about every U.S. listing, promotion, or checkout.

Ways to shop without an existing membership
Buy at the price available to you
You can look at Amazon listings and compare the price offered to your account. If the Prime event deal is members-only, the nonmember price may differ. Confirm the final checkout total, including shipping and applicable taxes, before deciding whether it is a good buy.
Check whether you qualify for a trial or lower-cost plan
Amazon says a 30-day Prime trial is available to select eligible customers, not everyone. Sign in and check the offer and eligibility displayed for your account rather than assuming a trial will appear.

Amazon’s U.S. FAQ currently lists these prices and eligibility terms:

These are prices and terms listed by Amazon in its U.S. FAQ; verify the current offer and your eligibility before signing up. A trial is time-limited, and Kiplinger’s October 2026 guidance says it automatically converts to paid membership unless cancelled before it ends. Check the renewal date and cancellation terms shown in your signup flow and account.

Skip the membership if the numbers do not work
Compare the savings on the specific products you planned to buy with the membership cost and any shipping charges. A trial or monthly plan may suit a short-term need if you qualify, but factor in when it renews and whether you want the ongoing benefits. Do not assume joining is worthwhile just to access one marked-down item.
How to tell whether an event price is a real saving
- Start with a planned purchase. Decide what you actually need before browsing. Amazon says the event spans more than 35 categories, but a large selection does not establish that any particular deal is worthwhile.
- Check the product’s price history. Amazon says eligible product pages can show up to 365 days of Price History. Look at the history for the specific item; the feature is not stated to be available for every product.
- Compare the total at checkout. Include shipping and applicable taxes, then compare with other offers you can access. A sale label alone does not prove the price is the lowest available or the best value.
- Use alerts as monitoring tools. Amazon describes wish lists, product or category alerts, and Alexa deal discovery. They can help you spot offers, but do not guarantee that an item will be discounted or remain in stock.
Which event and storefront are you shopping?
“Prime Day” may refer to Amazon’s summer event, while the U.S. fall sale is called Prime Big Deal Days. Check the dates, membership requirements, and prices for the specific event and country storefront you use. For example, Amazon UK lists June 23–26, 2026 for its event and says a Prime Video-only membership is not sufficient for Prime Day deals; those U.K. dates and terms do not establish the U.S. rules.
