Coordinate your server before creating a Pathfinder
If you plan to play with friends, agree on a server first. A NerdsChalk guide updated August 21, 2026, reports America, Europe, and APAC server regions and says characters on different servers cannot play together. It also reports that choosing another server means starting a fresh character there, while the original character remains on its server. This guide predates the global launch, so treat the policy as secondary-source information and check the current game if server placement is important to your group.

Review appearance, but check character type before confirming
The character creator is reported to include face, makeup, hair, and body-type options. A GameWith guide published September 16 and updated September 20, 2026, says face and hairstyle can be edited later through the Appearance menu after you receive the Institute uniform during Institute Initiation. It describes character type as fixed after creation.
That distinction matters: spend time on the look if you want to, but treat character type as the commitment. The reported unlock and menu details can change with updates, so inspect the current interface before counting on a later edit or spending a customization item. A clothing-design unlock date listed by the guide has already passed; it is not reliable evidence of what is available in the live build now.

Naming your Pathfinder and captured Aniimo
Available guides do not establish a dependable screen-by-screen point at which the Pathfinder name prompt appears; reports differ across builds. Follow the live creation flow rather than relying on an exact menu sequence from an older guide. Current name rules, including whether names must be unique, are not established by the official launch notice cited here.
Keep Pathfinder naming separate from naming captured Aniimo. An Aniimo Wiki page updated September 19, 2026, reports that captured Aniimo cannot be renamed in its described build, while renaming the Pathfinder requires a rename voucher. The page also notes that voucher sources are not centrally confirmed. Treat both details as secondary reporting that may change.
The same page reports that customization vouchers can reopen the editor and that Face Codes can import a look, but it does not establish voucher costs or cross-platform Face Code support. If you use a code shared by another player, use a trusted source: the official launch notice warns against scanning unfamiliar QR codes, clicking unofficial links, or sharing account credentials.
What happens before the Helion-or-Lunara choice
The opening sequence described by a NerdsChalk guide includes character creation and naming, an initial stretch with catches, selection of Helion or Lunara, instruction in Command and Twine, and Institute Initiation. The exact name-prompt placement is unsettled, so treat this as a broad outline rather than a guaranteed sequence of screens.

Choose Helion or Lunara by combat rhythm
A beginner guide from Aniimo.cc describes the two choices by range and fighting style. Both are Holy, but that shared element does not make them interchangeable or prove one is easier. Skills and balance may change with patches, so choose based on the kind of combat you prefer rather than a universal “best starter” claim.
