To block ads in Vivaldi on Android, open Menu > Settings > Tracker and Ad Blocking > Default Blocking Level, then select Block Trackers and Ads. To use a different level on one website, open that site and tap the Content Blocker shield at the left of the address bar.
Turn on ad blocking for websites by default

Open the Vivaldi menu on the address bar and tap Settings. Alternatively, open the Tab Switcher, tap the menu in the bottom-right corner, and choose Settings. See Vivaldi’s Android Settings guide if you need help finding Settings.

Select Block Trackers and Ads. This is the level that enables ad blocking as well as tracker blocking across websites.

Vivaldi offers three levels: No Blocking, Block Trackers, and Block Trackers and Ads. The middle option blocks trackers but does not enable ad blocking. Vivaldi describes its ad blocker as an additional protection layer for ads not already blocked by the tracker blocker.
Choose a different blocking level for one website
Open the website, tap the Content Blocker shield on the left side of the address bar, and select the level you want for that site. The choice can differ from your default setting. Vivaldi’s Android interface guide describes the address-bar controls.

This is useful when a page needs a different setting without changing the default for other sites. If you want a saved rule rather than changing the current site through its shield, add an exception in Settings.

Go to Settings > Tracker and Ad Blocking > Exceptions > Manage blocking level per site.

Tap Add New Domain, enter the website, choose its blocking level, and tap Done.

To change an existing exception, tap its entry and choose another level. To remove it, open the entry and tap Delete.

Adjust blocking sources and cookie-warning filtering
Enable or add a blocking source
Go to Settings > Tracker and Ad Blocking > Sources. Tick a listed source to enable it or untick it to stop using it. To add a source that is not listed, tap Add New Source, enter the URL for its blocker rules, and tap Import. Use a rules URL from a source you trust.

First set the blocking level to Block Trackers and Ads. Then open Sources > Manage Ad Blocking Sources and enable Remove cookie warnings (Easylist Cookie List). Vivaldi says these lists hide banners and dialogs on most websites; they are not a guarantee that every consent notice will disappear. Its help page also notes that other blocking sources can be disabled if you want to hide cookie warnings without blocking ads.

A page may rely on an element that the tracker or ad blocker blocks. On the affected page, tap the Content Blocker shield and turn blocking off for that site to test whether it is the cause. Vivaldi’s Android troubleshooting guide recommends testing blockers when site functionality is affected. You can restore the previous level from the same control if it does not resolve the problem.

Check what Vivaldi has blocked
Open the Content Blocker control on a page to see counts for trackers and ads blocked on that site. For a broader overview, go to Settings > Privacy and Security > View Privacy Report, then select Last 7 days, Last 30 days, or All time. See Vivaldi’s Privacy and Security settings guide.
Which blocking level should you use?
Vivaldi recommends blocking trackers on all sites and enabling ad blocking where ads are intrusive or distracting. Ads are a revenue source for many websites, so consider the effect on sites and creators you want to support. Choose the broad default that fits your preference, then use per-site controls where a particular site needs a different level. The documented menu labels may vary if the app changes; follow the labels in your installed version. Vivaldi’s instructions do not specify an app or Android version.
