For a regular prerecorded Tamil video, upload the file directly in YouTube Studio; you do not need Streamlabs Talk Studio. Use Talk Studio if you want that prerecorded file to appear as a scheduled YouTube live broadcast, or if you want to record or stream through its browser studio.
The key choice is the viewer experience: an ordinary upload becomes an on-demand video, while a scheduled prerecorded broadcast is presented as a live event. The steps below cover both workflows and show where to set Tamil as the video’s language.

Choose an ordinary upload or a scheduled live event
| Workflow | What viewers get | Talk Studio and YouTube live setup | File limits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard YouTube upload | An on-demand video viewers can watch from the channel | Not required; upload in YouTube Studio | The cited YouTube upload guide does not state a limit here |
| Scheduled prerecorded live broadcast | A timed live event using a prerecorded file | Connect Talk Studio to YouTube and meet YouTube’s live-stream eligibility and onboarding requirements | Streamlabs’ scheduling guide lists a 5 GB maximum file, up to one hour on Standard, and up to two hours on Pro or Ultra; check current account limits |
For a conventional channel video, choose the ordinary upload. Choose Talk Studio’s prerecorded scheduling workflow only when you specifically want a live-event experience at a set time. Streamlabs describes this as “How to Live Stream Pre-Recorded Video.” Streamlabs’ scheduling guide documents the live-event workflow.

Upload a Tamil video as a normal YouTube video
- Sign in to YouTube Studio and select Create → Upload videos.
- Select the finished video file and enter its title and description. YouTube’s help page says video titles can contain up to 100 characters.
- In the video details, set the original video language to Tamil if Tamil is the language spoken in the video. YouTube says the setting helps it and contributors understand the video’s original language and supports captions and finding videos in a viewer’s language; it does not translate the audio.
- Add Tamil subtitles or captions if useful. In YouTube Studio, add a language and choose to upload a subtitle file, auto-sync text, or enter captions manually. Check the options available in your account; do not assume automatic Tamil transcription is available or accurate for every video.
- Choose the visibility and whether to publish now or schedule. Review the details before finishing: YouTube notes that if the upload window is closed before visibility is selected, the video remains private on the Content page.
See YouTube’s video upload instructions and language and subtitle instructions for the current Studio workflow.

Prepare Talk Studio and connect YouTube
These steps apply when the goal is a scheduled prerecorded live broadcast, not an ordinary upload. Streamlabs’ setup guide lists Chrome or Safari and a stable internet connection as requirements. It specifies a minimum 5 Mbps upload speed, recommending 10 Mbps for 720p and 20 Mbps for 1080p. These are Streamlabs’ published requirements, not a guarantee of broadcast quality.
- Create or sign in to a Streamlabs account and open Talk Studio in Chrome or Safari.
- Allow browser camera and microphone permissions if the production will use them. A video-only prerecorded broadcast does not need a camera. Choose the intended audio input and use Talk Studio’s audio test controls before a live session or recording.
- In account settings, open Destinations, select Add Destination, choose YouTube, and follow the authorization prompts.
- Check YouTube Studio’s live-stream status. Streamlabs’ YouTube setup guide says channel verification and an initial unlisted live test using YouTube’s built-in webcam option are required before streaming through Talk Studio; it directs users to allow about 24 hours after those steps. Platform onboarding can change, so confirm the current status in YouTube Studio.
For the connection sequence and any current eligibility prompts, consult Streamlabs’ YouTube setup guide. Do not assume Talk Studio can bypass YouTube’s live-stream requirements.

Schedule the prerecorded file in Talk Studio
- Open Talk Studio’s schedule control and create a schedule.
- Select YouTube as the destination and choose Pre-recorded video.
- Upload the video file. Streamlabs’ scheduling guide lists a 5 GB maximum, a one-hour duration limit on Standard, and a two-hour limit on Pro or Ultra. These are plan limits stated in the guide, not general YouTube requirements; verify the limits shown for your account before preparing the file.
- Enter the stream title and description, choose the date and time, and add a thumbnail.
- Schedule the event, then open YouTube Studio to confirm the event, destination, title, description, thumbnail, and timing.
The documented scheduling path is for presenting a file as a live event. It does not replace YouTube Studio’s standard upload process for an on-demand video. See Streamlabs’ prerecorded video guide for the schedule workflow and account limits.
Set Tamil language and captions thoughtfully
Set Tamil as the original language when it is the language spoken in the video; do not use the language field as a translation setting. Add Tamil captions when they improve accessibility or make dialogue easier to follow. If the video also needs subtitles in another language, add that language separately in Studio and review the text for names, lyrics, dialect and technical terms.

YouTube’s language and subtitle help describes adding a language and then uploading a subtitle file, auto-syncing text, or typing captions. Which options appear can depend on the account and current Studio interface. Verify the finished captions in playback rather than treating an automatic transcript as a final, checked translation.
Recording-only use and Talk Studio retention
If you want to record locally or in the cloud rather than schedule a live event, Talk Studio offers Cloud Recording and Local Recording options. Streamlabs describes a cloud recording as a complete recording with an audio-only download; local recording provides separate tracks per participant.

Check copyright and channel suitability
Before scheduling a prerecorded live event or publishing an ordinary upload, make sure you have the rights to the video, music, performance, images, and other material it contains. A Tamil song, devotional performance, film excerpt, or background track can still be copyrighted even when the channel has permission to post other videos. A live presentation format does not itself establish permission to use content.

Do not assume that setting a language, scheduling an event, or using Talk Studio guarantees recommendations, views, or monetization. YouTube’s cited setup material explains upload metadata and workflow, not a Tamil-specific growth or discovery outcome.
Troubleshoot common setup problems
- The video is private instead of published: return to YouTube Studio’s Content page, open the video’s details, select the intended visibility, and save. YouTube says an upload window closed before visibility is selected leaves the video private.
- You cannot select YouTube as a Talk Studio destination: revisit Settings → Destinations → Add Destination, complete YouTube authorization, and check YouTube Studio for verification or live-stream onboarding steps.
- YouTube live streaming is not yet enabled: follow the current YouTube verification and test-stream prompts. Streamlabs’ guide specifies an unlisted built-in webcam test and an approximately 24-hour wait after the required steps; check the current Studio status rather than assuming the wait has elapsed.
- The prerecorded file will not schedule: check its size and duration against the limits for your Talk Studio plan. The Streamlabs guide lists 5 GB maximum, one hour for Standard, and two hours for Pro or Ultra; confirm current account limits.
- Audio or camera is missing in Talk Studio: check browser permissions, select the intended device, and run the built-in audio test. A prerecorded video-only event does not require a camera.
- The connection is unstable: compare upload speed with Streamlabs’ published minimum of 5 Mbps and its recommendations of 10 Mbps for 720p or 20 Mbps for 1080p. A connection meeting a stated speed is not by itself a guarantee of a stable broadcast.
- Tamil captions are absent or incorrect: check the video’s language and subtitle settings in YouTube Studio, add or revise captions, and review them in playback. Language metadata does not translate audio.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your goal is to keep a prerecorded YouTube channel live around the clock, StreamNeo is a separate cloud service rather than a Talk Studio scheduling feature. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops uploaded videos from the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home. StreamNeo streams the uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, with automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card, one free day per account; the monthly option is $9.99 per month. It plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting from a camera, and streams to YouTube only.
