Create a monitor for the Hindi page
- Open New Monitor. Enter the full URL of the specific Hindi page you want to follow. ChangeTower’s first-monitor guide recommends using the exact page URL when you want to track one page, rather than the site homepage. See the ChangeTower first-monitor guide.
- Choose what counts as a change. Use content monitoring for general text changes, keyword monitoring for specified terms, or Smart Monitor to describe the change you want to hear about. The help materials do not establish Hindi-language support for keywords or Smart Monitor prompts; test your intended criterion on the actual page.
- Limit the monitored area if needed. If menus, dates, rotating banners, comments, or other changing sections are not important, select the relevant page area or ignore those elements where the monitor offers that option. - Set monitor details. Give the monitor a recognizable name, optionally organize it with folders or tags, choose a check frequency, and configure email or Slack alerts where available.
- Create the monitor. ChangeTower saves an initial snapshot as the baseline. You should not expect an alert immediately after setup: the first alert follows a later check that finds a qualifying change.
Choose the right monitoring method

Validate Hindi detection before relying on alerts
- Open the monitor’s saved snapshot and verify that the Hindi text and the page section you intended to track are present.
- For keyword monitoring, use a term that appears in the live page and verify that the monitor recognizes it as expected.
- If practical, arrange a harmless, intentional change to the monitored content or use a suitable test page. Wait for a subsequent check and confirm that the expected notification arrives.
- If the snapshot omits the relevant text or the test alert does not behave as expected, change the monitoring method or scope and validate again before using it for important updates.

Several pages or a whole site
ChangeTower offers bulk setup for multiple pages and a whole-website workflow for discovering subpages. The whole-website help article, published March 24, 2023, recommends Content Monitor for broad text changes and says visual or partial-page monitoring is unavailable in that mode because selecting a section is required for each URL. It also warns that monitors exceeding a plan’s allowed quantity can be paused. Since those limitations come from a 2023 article, confirm current behavior and plan limits in your account before using whole-site monitoring. See ChangeTower’s whole-website monitoring help.
Set checking frequency and notifications
ChangeTower’s current check-frequency help lists intervals from every five minutes to every 30 days. Choose a shorter interval when a change is time-sensitive and a longer one for a stable page; the available setting is a check cadence, not a guarantee that an alert will arrive at that cadence. Notifications depend on a qualifying change being detected. See ChangeTower’s frequency guidance.

When multiple changes happen between checks, ChangeTower compares the latest version with the previously saved snapshot. Intermediate versions may therefore not appear as separate alerts. Set email or Slack notifications in monitor details where available, and choose a schedule that balances timeliness against unnecessary checks and alert noise.
Troubleshoot common setup problems
- No alert immediately after creating the monitor: The initial snapshot establishes the baseline. An alert is expected only after a later check detects a qualifying change.
- No alert after a visible Hindi text change: Check the saved snapshot, selected page area, change threshold, monitoring method, and next check time. Hindi/Devanagari detection is not confirmed by the reviewed help, so validate a different criterion or a test change before depending on it.
- Too many alerts: Narrow the monitored area, ignore irrelevant elements where offered, or use a more specific keyword or Smart Monitor criterion. Selective-monitoring guidance also describes a word-change threshold.
- Whole-site monitoring lacks partial-page selection: The 2023 whole-website guide says this mode does not offer visual or partial-page monitoring. Use single-page monitors when selecting a particular section matters, and verify current interface behavior.
- A monitor is paused: The same 2023 guide warns that monitors exceeding the plan’s allowed quantity can be paused. Check the plan limit and active monitor count in your account.
