How Aion 2’s built-in macro works
Current third-party guides describe the macro as attempting skills in order while you hold its bound key; releasing the key stops the sequence. Aion 2 Meta says skills that are on cooldown are skipped so the sequence can move on to the next entry. Set up the sequence and its key binding
- Create a short sequence: Open the Skill screen with K, then select the Macro control near the top right to build the sequence, following the path described by Aion 2 Meta. Add a compact group of repeatable skills in the order you want them attempted. Start with one clear purpose rather than copying a long rotation.
- Assign the Macro action to a key: The sequence and its activation binding are separate settings. The guide’s listed path is Settings → Key Settings → General → Gameplay → Macro. It says no key is assigned by default, so check the binding rather than assuming the macro will activate. Choose a key you can hold comfortably; a mouse side button is optional, not required. AllThingsHow’s walkthrough also describes separate editor and binding steps.
- Keep delay adjustable: Guides mention a 10 ms setting, but the available sources do not establish it—or any other value—as universally best. AllThingsHow characterizes delay advice as community guidance, not an official recommendation. Test the macro before using it in an encounter
- Use a training dummy or another practice target. Hold the bound key long enough to observe the sequence, then release it to stop.
- Watch individual activations. Check whether a skill fails to activate, whether the sequence stalls, and whether the order produces the chain you intended. Do not assume that seeing the macro run means every entry behaved as expected. Aion 2 Meta recommends checking for skipped skills and chain flow.
- Change one thing at a time. If activations are missed, adjust the delay or sequence and repeat the test. Treat this as troubleshooting on your own setup, not proof that a particular delay will work for every connection or character.
- Validate again when your setup changes. Check the macro for the character and skills you actually use, and repeat the test after relevant skill or patch changes. The community AION 2 Field Manual’s Macro Workshop specifically advises per-character validation and cautions that menu and delay behavior should be confirmed on the Global client.
A community workshop suggests comparing a manual run with a macro run on the same target, but that is a proposed check—not an independently verified performance result. The available guides do not establish that a macro or a specific delay will increase damage.

Choose what belongs in the repeatable core
Use the macro for skills that make sense as a repeatable sequence. Leave actions manual when they depend on positioning, a changing encounter, or your judgment about when to use them. A practical starting point is to keep these available outside the macro:
- Emergency defense and escape tools
- Interrupts and responses to boss mechanics
- Movement actions that depend on position
- Burst cooldowns whose timing depends on the party or encounter
These are general community recommendations, not a tested ranking for every class. Adapt the split to your character and the encounter rather than assuming one sequence fits all situations. AION 2 Field Manual Community Edition

Use class examples as starting points, not prescriptions
Community sequences can be useful when learning how to order skills, but check their assumptions before adopting one: region, patch, class progression, and character setup can all matter. The community-maintained Aion 2 Macro Sheet tracks sample sequences and changes, drawing on community class guides, Taiwan materials, patch notes, and a client database. Its examples are references to inspect and test on your own character, not universal rotations.

Keep the setup inside the game
A side button on a mouse can make holding the in-game Macro key more comfortable, but no particular device is required. The cited guides distinguish Aion 2’s built-in macro from external keyboard or mouse automation. The available sources do not establish current official account-policy rules, so they are not a basis for claiming what external automation is permitted or what consequences it may carry.
