Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →For a single, connected lawn, set the Worx Landroid Vision in its charging station, pair it with the Landroid app, and run Edge routine. Vision recognizes lawn-versus-non-lawn boundaries without the boundary wire used by other Landroid families; the Edge routine records the lawn’s perimeter and area for mowing. Separated lawns require a compatible model’s RFID multi-zone workflow, including tags, passages and a schedule for each added zone.
Start by identifying the exact model printed on the mower or manual. “Landroid Vision” and newer “Vision Cloud” machines are different generations: Cloud models advertise V-SLAM and RTK automatic mapping, while those capabilities should not be assumed on every older Vision mower. Use the manual and app instructions for your exact model whenever a screen, button sequence or accessory is involved.

What you need before mapping
Gather the mower’s model number, its current manual, the Landroid app, the mower serial number, your Wi-Fi password and a phone with Bluetooth enabled. Clear the route to the charging station and remove toys, hoses, branches and other objects from the proposed mowing area. Mapping works best when the mower can follow a visible, unobstructed lawn edge.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- One connected lawn: Vision’s camera-based boundary recognition and the Edge routine are the normal setup. You do not ordinarily drive the mower around the perimeter or install boundary wire.
- Several separated lawns: Check that your exact Vision model supports RFID multi-zone setup. You may need one RFID tag per zone, an app-defined passage and a separate work schedule.
- Vision Cloud: Treat Cloud-specific V-SLAM and RTK mapping instructions as generation-specific. Do not apply them to an older Vision mower simply because both products use the Landroid name.
Worx’s installation figures are manufacturer guidance, not independently tested guarantees. Measurements for RFID placement, passages and charging access apply only where the documented multi-zone or model-specific installation calls for them.

Place the charging station and prepare the route
Choose a straight approach
Put the charging station on firm, level ground in a location with reliable power and a clear route into the lawn. The cited Vision manual specifies at least 2 m of straight, unobstructed path in front of the charging base. Do not transfer a different Landroid model’s base-clearance diagram to Vision without checking the matching manual.
Keep the approach free of garden furniture, low branches and abrupt surface changes. The mower must be able to leave and return to the station without being forced into a sharp turn immediately in front of the contacts. If the station is near a raised bed, wall or fence, leave enough room for the edge settings you intend to use later.
Prepare the lawn itself
Pick up objects that the mower could mistake for an obstacle or that could block its camera view. Close gates and make sure every area you expect to mow is physically reachable. A single continuous lawn can be mapped with the normal Edge routine; a detached area that the mower cannot reach through a suitable passage must be configured as a separate zone, if the model supports that feature.

Seat and charge the mower
- Place the mower in the charging station so its contacts engage correctly.
- Allow it to charge before the first mapping or mowing run. Keep the station powered throughout setup.
- Turn on Bluetooth on the phone and stay near the mower and router while pairing.
Pair in the app
Open the Landroid Vision app and follow its add-mower flow. You will need the mower’s serial number and the password for the wireless network. Worx’s general Vision instructions support both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi; if pairing fails, temporarily bring the phone, mower and router close together and retry. A phone can remain connected to the router while the mower completes its own Wi-Fi connection.
Commands issued from a part of the garden with weak coverage may not execute immediately. The mower can receive the command after returning to an area with a good signal, so do not assume a delayed response means the command was lost. Confirm the mower’s status in the app before sending the same command repeatedly.

Model-specific startup prompts
The app and mower display do not present exactly the same prompts on every Vision model. The general all-model procedure is to place the mower in the station, power it on, enter the default PIN 0000 when requested, then press Start followed by OK for immediate mowing. The WR202E guide uses an “IDLE” standby state and an “Ar:En” location-confirmation flow. Other models describe confirming the identified mowing zone instead. Check the model number before following a button-by-button sequence.
Map a single lawn with the Edge routine
What Edge routine records
For an ordinary, contiguous lawn, Edge routine is the manufacturer-documented way to collect the lawn’s area and perimeter. It is a recording pass, not a requirement to manually draw a complete map. Vision follows the recognized lawn boundary and stores the measurements the app uses for the zone.
Run the routine
- Open the Landroid app while the mower is charged and connected.
- Open Edge routine.
- Tap Start.
- Let the mower follow the lawn edge without lifting it or blocking its route.
- Wait for the app to show that the routine has completed and the area and perimeter have been recorded.
If Edge routine is enabled in a manual time schedule, Worx says the mower makes this recording pass before the first edge cut. That behavior explains why the mower may travel around the boundary before beginning ordinary mowing.
Check the result before scheduling regular mowing
Review the zone shown in the app for obvious omissions: a strip left outside the lawn, a flower bed treated as grass or a route that stops at a closed gate. Correct the physical obstruction first, then repeat the Edge routine if the app does not represent the intended area. Do not add boundary wire merely to compensate for instructions belonging to a different Landroid product family.
Configure multiple lawns or separated zones
Use multi-zone mapping only when the layout calls for it. A detached lawn that cannot be reached through the mower’s documented passage is not made reachable by changing a schedule; the machine needs a physically clear route and a model that supports the RFID workflow.

RFID placement requirements
Worx’s RFID guidance gives the following conditions for the documented multi-zone setup:
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
- Install one RFID tag in each zone. Keep the tag more than 1.5 m from both the front and rear lawn boundaries.
- Place the edge of the tag 50–60 cm from the lawn edge on flat ground.
- Keep the nearby lawn edge straight and clear of obstacles. Avoid large bare-grass areas within 1.5 m of the tag.
- Make each zone wider than 2 m.
- Keep wires and strong magnetic devices at least 30 cm from the RFID tag.
These are installation constraints for the compatible RFID workflow, not universal dimensions for every Vision lawn.
Build the passage between zones
The inter-zone route should be shorter than 6 m, with steps lower than 3 cm. Keep it straight and free of obstacles because the mower travels in a straight line while transitioning. A route that requires a sharp turn, crosses a high step or narrows below the zone requirements can prevent the mower from detecting or reaching the next area.
Add the zones in the app
- Install the RFID tag in the first additional zone using the placement conditions above.
- Open the app’s multi-zone setup and choose the option to add a zone and its passage.
- Start the mower’s initial edge trip. The mower detects tags while following the lawn edge.
- If the phone supports NFC, scan both tags when the app prompts you, then save the configuration.
- Give the new zone a work schedule. Worx notes that the mower will not operate in a newly created zone until that zone has a schedule.
Phones without NFC can use the app’s Lawn Explore function as the alternate route for adding a zone, where that option is available on the exact model. Worx says two RFID tags are included with the relevant system; additional compatible tags may be sold through retail or online channels, so verify compatibility and current availability before buying.
Set edge behavior for fences, walls and paving
Raised boundaries
After mapping, open the relevant zone in the app’s Multi-Zone page and set the border distance. Beside a raised structure such as a fence, Worx advises at least 15 cm of border distance to reduce collision risk. This setting leaves an uncut strip that may need occasional hand trimming; reducing it without checking the physical edge can make the mower strike the structure.

Edge-cut frequency
Worx recommends edge cutting no more than twice per week. More frequent edge passes can add wear without improving the main mowing schedule. Set the frequency in the schedule rather than starting repeated manual edge runs.
Cut Over the Border
The app includes Cut Over the Border for suitable paving-stone edges. Enable it only for zones where the surface forms an appropriate, safe continuation of the lawn. It is a zone setting, not a default instruction for fences, walls, drop-offs or every hard border.
Choose the right mapping approach
| Situation | Recommended workflow | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| One connected lawn | Automatic lawn-boundary recognition plus Edge routine | Clear edges, charged mower, app connection and a completed recording pass |
| Separated lawns reachable by a straight passage | RFID tags, app-defined zones and passages, then a schedule for each zone | RFID support, NFC or Lawn Explore availability, tag clearances and passage dimensions |
| Vision Cloud model | Follow the Cloud model’s own mapping instructions | Exact generation and manual; Cloud marketing describes V-SLAM and RTK, which should not be assumed on older Vision models |
| Older wire-guided Landroid family | Use that family’s boundary-wire manual | Do not substitute its wire layout for Vision’s wire-free boundary-recognition workflow |
Verify the first mowing run
- Confirm the mower is seated in the station, charged and connected in the app.
- Check that the displayed zone is the one you intend to mow.
- For an immediate run, use the model-appropriate startup flow; the general instructions are PIN 0000, then Start and OK, subject to the model-specific prompts described earlier.
- Watch the first departure and the first several boundary turns. Stop the mower if it approaches a drop-off, raised obstacle or area that was not intended to be grass.
- After the run, inspect narrow passages, the charging return and any uncut strip beside hard borders. Adjust the physical layout or the applicable zone setting rather than changing unrelated model settings.
Troubleshoot common setup problems
The app cannot pair with the mower
- Confirm Bluetooth is enabled and the phone is close to the mower.
- Recheck the serial number and Wi-Fi password.
- Bring the router, phone and mower together for pairing, then retry on the supported 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz network.
- Verify that the app instructions match the exact model; a different Vision generation can show different startup screens.
The mower does not respond to a remote command
Check signal coverage at the mower’s current location. A command sent in a weak-coverage area may be applied when the mower returns to a good-signal area. Check the app’s status before issuing another command.
The mapped lawn is incomplete or includes the wrong area
Clear the edge, open gates and remove objects that interrupt the camera’s view. Run Edge routine again. If the problem is a detached lawn, configure it as a supported RFID zone rather than trying to force one contiguous map across an unreachable gap.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesThe mower cannot find an RFID zone
Measure the tag’s position against the manufacturer’s requirements: more than 1.5 m from front and rear boundaries, 50–60 cm from the lawn edge, more than 30 cm from wires or strong magnetic devices, and on flat ground. Confirm the nearby edge is straight and clear, the zone is wider than 2 m and the route to it is shorter than 6 m with steps below 3 cm. Re-run the app’s zone workflow and save a schedule for the zone.

The mower hits a fence or raised border
Increase the applicable border distance to at least 15 cm beside the raised structure. Do not enable Cut Over the Border for that location unless it is a suitable paving-stone edge. Inspect the physical edge for a drop-off or obstruction before resuming operation.
What not to mix between Landroid families
Some Landroid support pages describe boundary-wire installation for older, wire-guided models. Those directions are not a general requirement for Vision. Conversely, the Vision Edge routine and RFID procedures should not be assumed to apply to every Landroid mower. The model number, current manual and app screen are the controlling references whenever instructions conflict.
Likewise, V-SLAM and RTK are descriptions Worx uses for Vision Cloud’s automatic mapping. They do not establish that an earlier Vision variant has the same sensors, mapping method or setup sequence. Treat a Cloud manual as a separate product-generation guide.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Worx Landroid Vision need boundary wire for one lawn?
No. Worx describes Vision as recognizing lawn boundaries without boundary-wire installation. Use the app’s Edge routine to record the area and perimeter for a normal connected lawn.
Can I use Vision Cloud mapping instructions on an older Landroid Vision?
No. Vision Cloud is a different generation whose mapping description includes V-SLAM and RTK. Follow the manual for the exact mower model instead.
What if my phone has no NFC?
For a compatible RFID multi-zone model, Worx identifies Lawn Explore as an alternate app route where available. Check the exact model’s app flow.
Why was an added zone mapped but never mowed?
A newly created zone needs its own work schedule. Confirm that the zone is saved and scheduled, then check the passage and RFID placement.
Is the default PIN always 0000?
The general Vision startup instructions use 0000, followed by Start and OK, but display prompts differ by model. Verify the exact manual before relying on that sequence.
