The Govee RGBICW Smart Floor Lamp Basic, model H6076, can be assembled, added to the Govee Home app, and controlled from the app without a voice assistant. Govee lists three control routes—Govee Home, the included control box, and compatible voice platforms—along with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
Use the model number on the lamp or packaging before following these directions. Govee sells several floor lamps, and the H6076 controls and specifications should not be assumed to apply to a different model.

Identify the correct lamp before you begin
This guide is for the Govee RGBICW Smart Floor Lamp Basic. Govee’s product materials identify it as model H6076; the specifications section may call it the “Govee RGBICW Floor Lamp Basic.” Check the label on the product, box, or device entry in Govee Home. If you see another model number, stop and use that model’s instructions instead.
What you need for setup
- The lamp’s parts, power adapter, base, poles, connecting piece, strip light, and control box supplied in the box.
- A phone or tablet with the current Govee Home app.
- A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network if you want Wi-Fi features, remote access, group control, LAN control, or voice-platform integration.
- Bluetooth may also be used by H6076 for device connectivity.
- Your Wi-Fi password and, optionally, an account for a compatible voice platform.
Do not buy an extra hub or assume an accessory is required. The H6076 materials list app, control-box, and voice control, and they do not establish that a separate bridge, replacement part, or special tool is needed for ordinary setup.

H6076 specifications at a glance
The following are manufacturer-stated specifications, not independent measurements.
| Specification | H6076 listing |
|---|---|
| Model | H6076 |
| Light output | 1,000 lumens |
| Rated power | 24 W |
| Rated voltage | 12 V |
| Dimensions | 200 × 200 × 1,363 mm (7.9 × 7.9 × 53.7 inches) |
| Wireless connectivity | 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth |
| Listed control methods | Govee Home app, control box, and voice control |
| Listed smart-home support | Alexa, Google Assistant, and Matter |
The dimensions describe the assembled footprint and height listed by Govee. Measure the intended location before assembly, especially if the lamp will stand beside a desk, sofa, or shelving. The 1,000-lumen figure describes the lamp’s listed output; it does not predict the brightness that reaches every part of a room, nor does it account for the selected color or effect.
Assemble the lamp safely
Use the printed instructions supplied with your lamp for the complete sequence, screw or connector details, and any safety warnings. Govee’s product overview gives this high-level order:
Recommended Free Tools
- Join the pole sections. Insert the connecting piece into the appropriate pole as shown in the supplied instructions. Do not force a connector that does not align.
- Route the wire through the base. Feed the cable into the base opening so it is not trapped between the base and the floor.
- Attach the light strip to the pole. Align the strip with the pole before pressing it into position.
- Press the strip down from the middle toward both ends. This reduces the chance of creating a bubble, fold, or uneven section. Work gradually rather than stretching the strip.
- Place the assembled lamp on a stable, level surface. Confirm that the cable exits freely and that the lamp does not rock before connecting power.
Because the product page is only an overview, it does not replace the hardware-specific instructions in the box. If a part, connector, or cable does not match the printed sequence, use the in-box diagram rather than guessing. Complete the mechanical assembly before attempting app pairing; a loose connector can look like a wireless or software failure.
Add H6076 to Govee Home
Govee identifies Govee Home as the main place to add and manage the lamp. The exact pairing screens can change, and the official material reviewed for this guide does not document every current screen. Follow the labels shown in your version of the app.
- Install or update Govee Home on your phone or tablet, then sign in or create the account the app requests.
- Power the lamp. Connect the adapter, turn the lamp on using the available control, and keep the phone near the lamp during discovery.
- Open the device-add flow. In Govee Home, choose the option to add a device and select the floor-lamp category or the H6076 entry when it appears.
- Allow the requested permissions. Bluetooth, local-network, or location permissions may be requested by the current mobile operating system or app version. Denying a required permission can prevent discovery.
- Follow the app’s pairing prompts. If the flow asks for Wi-Fi, select a 2.4 GHz network and enter its password. H6076 is listed with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi; do not assume a 5 GHz-only network will work for initial Wi-Fi setup.
- Give the lamp a useful name and room. A name such as “Living room floor lamp” makes later app or voice commands less ambiguous.
- Wait for the device to finish registering. Do not unplug the lamp while the app is completing setup. When the device tile appears, open it and test power and brightness.
If the app offers Bluetooth-only control before Wi-Fi setup is complete, that can be useful for local testing. Wi-Fi is still required for features that depend on the network, such as remote access and the optional LAN path. Pair the lamp close to the phone first; moving it to its final location after registration makes it easier to separate pairing issues from range issues.
Control the lamp in Govee Home
Govee says the app can manage the H6076’s power, colors, brightness, lighting effects, and groups. The app is sufficient for basic use; Alexa or Google Assistant is not required.

Power
Open the H6076 device page and use the power control to turn the lamp on or off. Govee also describes remote power control, so a Wi-Fi-connected lamp can be managed when you are away from home, subject to the app and network being available.
Color and white light
Use the color controls in the device page to choose the available colors or white-light settings. The H6076 is marketed as RGBICW, indicating color and white-light capability, but the product materials do not provide a complete list of every selectable color-temperature value. Use the controls displayed by your app version rather than assuming a particular range.
Brightness
Adjust the brightness control in Govee Home. The lamp’s listed maximum output is 1,000 lumens; that figure is a manufacturer specification, not a measurement of your room or an independently tested maximum.
Lighting effects
Choose an effect from the app’s lighting-effects area. Effect names and menus can change with app updates, so use the current labels shown on your H6076 device page.

Govee lists group control for the app. Add compatible Govee devices to a group in the app if you want coordinated commands. Group behavior can depend on each device’s model and supported features; if an effect is unavailable to one device, the app may limit the shared options.
Use the physical control box
Govee lists the control box as a supported H6076 control method. It is useful when your phone is unavailable or when you need a local control point. The reviewed official pages do not publish a definitive button-by-button map for this model, so do not rely on instructions written for another Govee lamp or strip light.
Use the symbols and labels printed on your own control box and the in-box manual. If a button does not produce the expected result, check that the lamp is powered and that the control-box cable is fully seated before attempting app troubleshooting. Keep the box accessible rather than routing it behind furniture where its buttons cannot be reached.

Control H6076 without Alexa or Google Assistant
Yes. Govee’s product FAQ states: “You can use Govee Home App to change colors, brightness, and turn lights on and off.” A voice assistant is therefore optional for ordinary power, color, brightness, and effect control. You can use the app and the physical control box without linking a voice service.

Govee lists Alexa, Google Assistant, and Matter for H6076. Compatibility and setup can depend on the exact device firmware, app version, phone, and smart-home configuration. Start from the current linking or Matter setup prompts in Govee Home and in the voice platform’s own app.
What to prepare
- Finish adding H6076 to Govee Home first.
- Give the lamp a short, distinctive name and assign it to the correct room.
- Use the same account or integration credentials requested by the current platform flow.
- Keep the lamp online while the platform discovers it.
Alexa and Google Assistant
Enable the current Govee integration from the platform’s smart-home or skills area, sign in when prompted, and run device discovery. The older Govee Alexa instructions available in support material describe strip lights, not H6076 specifically; menus and wording may differ, so treat them as general integration guidance rather than an H6076 button-by-button procedure.
Matter
Matter is listed as a supported smart-home option for H6076. Follow the current Matter commissioning instructions shown by your Govee Home and smart-home apps. Do not assume that every Matter controller exposes every Govee lighting effect; basic device functions may be available even when a vendor-specific effect is not.
Enable optional LAN control
LAN control is an advanced, optional route. It is not needed for normal app operation. Govee’s LAN guide says the device must first be added in Govee Home and connected to Wi-Fi.
- Complete H6076 setup in Govee Home.
- Confirm the lamp shows as connected to Wi-Fi in its device settings.
- Open the H6076 device settings and look for the LAN switch or LAN-control option.
- Enable the switch only after Wi-Fi setup is complete.
- Use the local-control workflow supported by your Govee software or integration.
If the LAN switch is missing, Govee’s guidance is to power-cycle a supported device and wait about 30 minutes. Check the device settings again afterward. If the option remains unavailable, contact Govee support. The presence of the switch can depend on device support, firmware, app state, and network conditions.
Understand the three connectivity paths
| Path | What it is best for | Important requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Bluetooth | Nearby setup or local phone communication when offered by the app | Keep the phone close; it does not replace Wi-Fi for network-dependent features |
| Wi-Fi | Remote app access, device registration, groups, and voice-platform linking | H6076 is listed for 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi |
| LAN control | Optional advanced local-network integrations | Add the lamp to Govee Home and connect it to Wi-Fi first |
This distinction prevents a common misdiagnosis. A lamp can respond to the control box or a nearby Bluetooth session while still being offline for remote access. Conversely, a voice-platform discovery problem can occur even when the lamp works normally in Govee Home.

Troubleshoot the common setup failures
The lamp does not appear during pairing
- Confirm the lamp has power and can be operated locally.
- Move the phone close to the lamp and retry device discovery.
- Allow the permissions requested by Govee Home and your phone’s operating system.
- Check the model label; another Govee floor lamp may use a different pairing flow.
- If Wi-Fi setup is requested, select a 2.4 GHz network rather than assuming a 5 GHz-only network is supported.
The app adds the lamp but Wi-Fi features fail
- Open the device details and verify that H6076 reports a Wi-Fi connection.
- Re-enter the network password if the app reports authentication failure.
- Keep the lamp and phone within reliable wireless range during setup.
- Restart the app and retry the device’s Wi-Fi setup flow.
Remote control works inconsistently
Remote control depends on the lamp’s Wi-Fi connection and the service being reachable. First check whether local Bluetooth or control-box operation still works. If local control works but the app shows the device offline, verify the home network and the lamp’s Wi-Fi status in Govee Home before changing any lighting settings.
The LAN option is absent
LAN control is not required for ordinary use and may not be exposed until the lamp is added and connected to Wi-Fi. Follow the power-cycle-and-wait procedure above. If it still does not appear after roughly 30 minutes, Govee recommends contacting support.
Voice commands cannot find the lamp
- Confirm H6076 is online in Govee Home before starting voice-platform discovery.
- Check that the correct Govee account or integration was linked.
- Run discovery again after renaming or moving the device to a room.
- Use a unique lamp name so another device is not selected by mistake.
Setup checklist before you call support
Record the model number as H6076, confirm that the lamp powers on locally, and note whether the failure occurs in the control box, Bluetooth discovery, Wi-Fi connection, Govee Home, LAN settings, or voice platform. This narrows the problem without repeatedly resetting a working part of the system. Have the app version, phone operating system, and the exact on-screen error available when contacting Govee. Do not substitute another model’s button chart or pairing instructions while troubleshooting.
Buying context: how H6076 fits Govee’s floor-lamp range
The main setup question does not require comparing models, but model numbers matter when you are shopping or replacing a lamp. Govee’s own product page contrasts H6076’s listed 1,000 lumens with the Floor Lamp 3 Lite H16C0’s listed 1,400 lumens. That is a manufacturer comparison, not an independent brightness test. Before purchasing, compare the exact model number, stated light output, color and white-light capabilities, wireless connectivity, and listed control methods.
If you are looking for an H6076 listing, search by the complete model number rather than by a generic phrase such as “Govee floor lamp.” Verify that the listing identifies the RGBICW Smart Floor Lamp Basic and not a visually similar model. The model check matters for app features, connectivity, and the included control hardware.
What the lamp can and cannot do without cloud or voice features
For the simplest arrangement, use the physical control box for local operation and Govee Home for app-based power, color, brightness, and effects. Wi-Fi adds network-dependent functions, including remote access and the prerequisites for LAN control. Voice platforms add another interface but are optional. This separation helps diagnose problems: a failure in voice discovery does not necessarily mean the lamp itself or its local controls are defective.

The official specifications do not state an electricity-cost estimate, and the listed 24 W rating is not a monthly bill calculation. Actual consumption and cost depend on brightness, effect, hours of use, and the electricity rate in your area. Treat 24 W as the product’s rated power specification, not a promise of constant draw in every mode.
