Before you start: charge the tablet
Verizon’s Ellipsis 7 User Guide advises fully charging the tablet before use and using the supplied charger. The battery is internal and not removable. The guide’s setup screens may differ depending on software version and settings.

Run the Setup Wizard
- Turn on the tablet: Press and hold the Power/Lock key until the display lights up.
- Choose a language: Select the language shown in the Setup Wizard and continue through the prompts.
- Handle activation: Follow the activation prompt if it appears. This step may involve cellular service; it is separate from connecting to Wi-Fi for basic setup.
- Set up a Google Account: Follow the on-screen instructions if you want to add an account. The guide lists this as part of the wizard.
- Choose shortcuts: Complete the shortcut choices shown, then continue to the tablet’s home screen.
The guide says these settings can be changed later in Settings. Its activation instructions are dated and do not confirm that Verizon cellular service or a particular SIM is currently available for this legacy model.
Separate Wi-Fi setup from cellular activation
The Ellipsis 7 guide says a Verizon 4G LTE SIM may need to be installed. It describes a SIM supplied with a device purchased in a Verizon store as activated and ready, while a card ordered separately may require activation. That guidance does not establish current SIM compatibility or service availability. What the factory reset removed
Verizon’s guide says a factory data reset erases Google or other email account settings, system and application data and settings, and downloaded applications. The tablet should prompt for setup the next time it turns on. If you have not reset it yet and can open Settings, the guide’s route is Apps > Settings > Backup & reset > Factory data reset, followed by the on-screen prompts. If the reset is already complete, use the Setup Wizard instead.

Verizon Community posts report these symptoms, but they do not verify a particular fix. The Ellipsis 7 guide documents the normal Setup Wizard, not a recovery-mode button sequence for a frozen welcome screen or “No command.” First ensure the tablet has had time to charge with the supplied charger. If it still will not proceed, seek device-specific guidance from Verizon or a qualified repair provider; current support for this retired model is not guaranteed. Avoid unofficial firmware downloads or button combinations presented as a sure fix.
