To change the display refresh rate on the REDMI 17C 5G, open Settings > Display & brightness > Refresh rate > Custom, then choose an option shown on your phone. Xiaomi specifies a display refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, but its FAQ does not list the exact selectable values.
Change the refresh rate
- Open the phone’s Settings app.
- Tap Display & brightness.
- Tap Refresh rate.
- Tap Custom.
- Select one of the options displayed on your phone.
This is the path published in Xiaomi’s REDMI 17C 5G FAQ. Xiaomi describes the screen as supporting up to 120 Hz; it does not enumerate the numerical choices available in the menu, so use the options on your own device rather than assuming a particular set.

What the 120 Hz specification means
Xiaomi UK lists the display as up to 120 Hz, and Xiaomi India describes it as up to 120 Hz AdaptiveSync. Those specifications refer to the screen’s refresh capability, not a guarantee that every app or game runs at 120 frames per second. The regional product pages do not explain their differing descriptions further: Xiaomi India’s REDMI 17C 5G FAQ.

Games may run at lower frame rates
Xiaomi says the REDMI 17C 5G does not support 120 Hz high frame rate in games. Its UK FAQ lists examples of game support up to 60 Hz for Honor of Kings, up to 40 Hz for PUBG Mobile, and up to 60 Hz for Wild Rift. These are Xiaomi’s published support figures, not independent measurements; results can depend on the game, its settings and optimization, and background processes.
