For a child’s account, set up parent approval through Apple Ask to Buy or Google Play and Family Link. These controls can block, verify, or approve eligible purchases; they are not the same as a guaranteed monthly spending cap.
What a “spending limit” can—and cannot—do
A purchase limit can mean different things: a hard ceiling that stops transactions after a set amount, a password or biometric prompt before a transaction, or a parent’s approval before a child can buy. The Apple and Google controls described here provide purchase restrictions, verification, and approval. Google Play also offers a monthly budget feature, but its help page does not establish that the budget blocks purchases once the amount is reached. Apple’s documented Screen Time controls do not describe a monetary budget.

So, if your priority is stopping accidental charges, use a block or verification prompt. If you need an actual enforced spending ceiling, do not assume a budget tracker or verification setting will provide one.

iPhone and iPad: block in-app purchases
Apple’s Screen Time settings can prevent in-app purchases. Apple’s support instructions, published September 17, 2026, give this path: Turn off Apple In-App Purchases from Screen Time on your iPhone or iPad.
#1 Best Overall
- Limit screen time and apps
- Block schedules and websites
- Monitor social media and YouTube
- Set Family time
- App install alerts
- Open Settings and tap Screen Time. If Screen Time is not enabled, turn it on first.
- Tap Apps & Websites, then App Store.
- Tap In-app Purchases and choose Blocked.
Use a Screen Time passcode that you control; where practical, keep it separate from a child’s device-unlock code. Apple also documents an option to require a password for future App Store purchases, which adds a confirmation step rather than setting a dollar ceiling.
iPhone and iPad: require approval for a child’s purchases
For a child in an Apple Family Sharing group, Ask to Buy lets a parent or family organizer review eligible app download and purchase requests. The current setup path is Settings > Family > [child’s name] > Apps & Websites > Restrictions > Ask to Buy > Require Purchase Approval. The child requests approval, and the parent can approve or decline. See Apple’s parental control setup instructions.
Availability depends on the child’s age and region. Apple notes some controls may be enabled by default or may not be removable.

Android: require verification for Google Play purchases
On Android, Google Play purchase verification can require authentication before Play-billed purchases. Open the Play Store, tap your profile picture, then go to Payments & subscriptions > Purchase verification. Depending on your region, device, and account, the screen may instead offer verification-frequency or payment-method choices. If Always is available and you want a prompt for each Play-billed purchase, choose it. Google’s purchase verification help describes the available options.
Verification methods have different sharing implications:
- Google Account password: associated with that account on the device.
- Biometrics or device screen lock: Google says these may apply to every Google Account on the device. Anyone whose fingerprint, face, or device lock is registered may be able to verify purchases for those accounts.
On a shared device, choose a method with the account and device access in mind. Verification interrupts a transaction; it does not impose a monthly monetary ceiling.

- Release your finger: This phone screen auto clicker supports 2 methods of clicks for various applications. It is very easy to use, just stick the click head on the screen or use the screen clip to simulate automatic finger clicks. Suitable for games, live broadcast likes, and task rewards will save you a lot of time.
- Anti-Cheat Prevention: Many online games have anti-cheat systems that look for automated clickers and other programs. Even if you're using the latest auto-click app, the game may update to detect it. A physical auto-clicker circumvents this problem.
- Adjustable Speed: The automatic tapper for the phone screen has 3 setting buttons with 31-speed gears, the fastest is 33 times a second, which is 5 times faster than the human hand and the slowest is 1 click in 60 seconds. The last used gear parameter will be automatically memorized and saved after power off, one-press start, and stop at any time. Supports imitation finger (irregular) clicks.
- Multi-device compatible: Just connect the USB interface to the power source and you can use the auto clicker immediately. It is compatible with Android and IOS systems, using space mapping click technology instead of the traditional mechanical click method, zero noise, more sensitive and stable click, and longer service life.
- High quality products: Annrybo's automatic screen clicking devices are built to last. Each product is rigorously tested before shipment to ensure that no technical problems occur and that it can adapt to the screen of mobile phones, tablet computers, and laptops with touch screens and support up to 4 screen devices at the same time.
Android: require a parent’s approval for a child
Google Play family managers and parents supervising a child with Family Link can require approval for eligible Google Play purchases. The available categories depend on the setup route and account.

Open Play Store and go to Settings > Family > Manage family members. Select the family member, then tap Purchase approvals and choose the applicable approval setting.
From Family Link
Select the child in Family Link, then open Controls > Google Play > Purchases & download approvals > Require approval for. Depending on the account and route, choices can include all content or certain types of paid content and in-app purchases.
Google’s purchase approvals instructions say these controls apply only to purchases made through Google Play’s billing system. Parent request notifications also depend on notifications being enabled for Family Link or Play Store.
Know which purchases these controls cover
Google Play verification and family approvals apply to Google Play billing, not every payment an app might accept. Google says alternative billing may be available in some markets for participating developers; availability depends on the market and product. Purchases through alternative billing are outside Google Play’s purchase controls, and subscriptions made that way do not appear in Play’s subscription center. See Google Play’s alternative billing overview.

Apple’s Screen Time purchase restriction is an Apple-device setting for App Store in-app purchases. Neither platform’s cited controls establish a universal cap covering every way an app can charge you.
Quick Recap
If a setting is missing or approval requests do not arrive
- Search Settings for Screen Time or Ask to Buy on Apple devices, or Purchase verification in the Play Store, if the menu path differs after an update.
- Check the account’s region, age, family-group status, and device; these can affect which options appear.
- For child purchase requests on Android, confirm notifications are enabled for Family Link or Play Store.
- Check the app’s payment route. A Google Play approval or verification setting will not govern a transaction processed through alternative billing.
