To change your realme lock screen, open Settings > Wallpapers & style > Wallpapers, choose an image, tap Apply, and select the lock-screen option. You can also set a photo already on your phone from the Photos app. These paths are documented for realme UI 6.0; menu names and available options can differ by model and software version.
Change the lock-screen wallpaper in Settings
- Open Settings and tap Wallpapers & style > Wallpapers. This is the documented path for realme UI 6.0.
- Choose one of the available wallpapers to preview it.
- Tap Apply, then choose the lock-screen destination. If the screen offers separate choices for the lock screen and home screen, select only the lock screen to keep your home-screen wallpaper unchanged.
- Lock the phone, wake the display, and check that the image appears as intended.
realme’s realme UI 6.0 User Manual documents the Settings route and applying a selected wallpaper to a destination, including the lock screen, home screen, or wallpaper carousel. The exact choices shown on your phone may vary.

Set a photo as your realme lock-screen wallpaper
- Open Photos and select the picture you want to use.
- Tap Set as wallpaper.
- Preview the picture and adjust its position or crop if editing controls appear.
- Choose the lock screen as the destination. Check the label before confirming if the phone also offers the home screen or both screens.
The realme UI 6.0 manual documents this Photos workflow. Positioning and cropping controls are not necessarily identical across software versions. An older realme UI 1.0 guide says users can enlarge an image with two fingers or move it to adjust its position; your current phone may present different controls. See realme’s realme UI 1.0 User Guide.

Keep the lock screen and home screen separate
When you apply a wallpaper, the destination matters: a lock-screen selection changes the image shown before you unlock the phone, while a home-screen selection changes the wallpaper behind your app icons. Some apply screens may also offer both screens or a carousel. Read the destination labels before confirming so you do not replace a separate home-screen image by mistake.

If the wallpaper menu is different
The documented menu path has changed between realme UI versions. The older realme UI 1.0 guide uses Settings > Home Screen and Lock Screen Magazine > Set Wallpaper, rather than the UI 6.0 path. If neither path matches your phone, search Settings for wallpaper and follow the labels on your device.
realme’s realme UI 7.0 feature page describes newer lock-screen styles, including a “Brand-new Vibrant Lock Screen,” but it does not establish one universal settings sequence for every model. Related personalization features can also have version-specific paths and model limits: realme’s fingerprint animation support article, updated December 23, 2025, gives an example of those differences. Treat optional controls as device-dependent rather than assuming they appear on every realme phone.
