For lazy-loaded images, scroll down the page in sections and pause until each group of images is visible before extending or taking the screenshot. A page loading successfully at the top does not mean its off-screen images are ready.
Use Android’s scrolling screenshot
- Open the webpage and wait for the content at the top to settle.
- Take a normal screenshot using your device’s screenshot controls.
- Look in the screenshot preview for a scrolling, capture-more, or similarly named control. Tap it, then extend the capture to include the part of the page you need. Labels and availability vary by device.
- As the capture moves down the page, pause at sections with images. Wait until they visibly load before continuing.
- Review the result for blank areas, repeated sticky bars, or abrupt cutoffs. If an image loads after the capture has passed its position, revisit that area and recapture it.
Google says scrolling capture works on Android 12 and later on “most screens that allow you to scroll.” Pixel guidance includes some steps for Android 11 and up. Neither means the feature is available on every phone, browser, page, or app. Google’s Android screenshot instructions describe the general workflow; Pixel screenshot guidance covers Pixel devices.

Load lazy images before capturing each section
Lazy loading postpones some image requests until the images are near the visible part of the page. That saves work during the initial load, but it also means images far below the fold may still be missing when you start a long capture. MDN notes that even a window load event does not guarantee that visible lazy-loaded images have loaded.
- Scroll down in manageable increments rather than jumping straight to the bottom.
- When a group of images comes into view, pause until the images appear and finish rendering.
- Continue downward and repeat at later sections.
- Inspect the captured image. If a region is blank or an image shifted position as it loaded, go back to that section and capture it again.
Images can change the page layout when they appear. MDN recommends specifying image dimensions so browsers can reserve space and reduce layout shifts; on a page where dimensions are not reserved, content may move during your capture. MDN’s image element reference explains lazy loading and the effect of image dimensions.

When scrolling capture is unavailable or stops early
Take overlapping screenshots
If the capture-more control does not appear, or the page ends abruptly in the result, take several ordinary screenshots while scrolling. Leave a visible overlap between consecutive shots so you can align them later in an image editor or keep the sections together as separate images. This is a manual fallback, but it does not depend on the device continuing a single capture.
Consider a webpage capture app
The Google Play listing for Web2Pics advertises full-page and scrolling webpage capture. That is a listed capability, not an independent guarantee that it will capture lazy-loaded images correctly on every site. Check whether an app supports your Android version, handles content that appears only after scrolling, and can capture nested scroll areas before relying on it.

Use a desktop extension when a phone is not required
GoFullPage’s Chrome Web Store listing describes capturing page sections into a full-page result. It is a desktop browser extension, not a direct Android phone workflow. Test the specific page if its images load only after scrolling.

- Images have not been requested yet: off-screen lazy-loaded images may not start loading until scrolling brings them near the viewport.
- The capture moved ahead too quickly: an image may appear after the screenshot has already passed its location.
- The layout shifted: images appearing late can move text, controls, and later images, producing gaps or repeated content in a stitched result.
- The page or scroll area is not supported: Android’s guidance is qualified to “most” scrollable screens. Nested scroll regions, page scripting, browser behavior, and device differences may affect capture, and official guidance does not provide a per-browser compatibility matrix.
Chrome scrolling performance improvements do not change these limits: Google reported a 48% reduction in the frequency of janky scrolls in Chrome on Android between 2023 and 2026, but that statistic does not establish that lazy-loaded images are ready before a screenshot. Can I take a scrolling screenshot on every Android phone?
No. Android’s documented guidance applies to Android 12 and later on most scrollable screens, with some Pixel guidance for Android 11 and up. The capture control and supported content vary by device.

Does waiting for the page to finish loading guarantee every image is captured?
No. Lazy-loaded images may not be requested until scrolling brings them near the viewport. Scroll to each section and wait for its images to appear.
Can I use a full-page browser extension directly on Android?
