Scroll the page in stages, wait for each section to load, and then capture the full page. A full-page screenshot can cover the document’s full scrollable height without actually scrolling the visible browser window, so it may miss content that appears only after scrolling. Check the saved image and recapture if anything is missing.
Why a full-page screenshot can miss content
Full-page capture describes how much of the page is included in the image; it does not necessarily reproduce the sequence of scrolling events a visitor would trigger. Playwright, for example, defines a full-page screenshot as capturing the full scrollable page, as if it fit on a very tall screen, and provides the fullPage: true option. That alone may not activate content gated on entering the viewport.

Native lazy-loaded images are deferred until they are likely to enter the viewport, and browsers update that likelihood as the user scrolls. Pages can also use viewport-observation APIs or scroll handlers to fetch or render other content. The distance at which lazy loading begins varies by browser, so there is no single scroll offset that works for every page.
How to capture the page manually
- Open the page and wait for its initial content to finish rendering.
- Scroll down in manageable increments. Pause after each one so images and other below-the-fold content have time to load.
- Continue to the intended end of the page. On an infinite-scroll page, decide how much of the feed you need; new items may keep appearing, and there is no universal stopping rule that guarantees the entire feed has been captured.
- Use your browser’s full-page screenshot feature to capture the page after scrolling through the content you need.
- Open the saved image and inspect its full length for blank image areas, missing sections, repeated elements, or a cutoff. If something is absent, scroll to that region, wait for it to load, and capture again.
This is a practical workflow, not a guarantee for every site. A page may load content only under particular interactions, or replace off-screen content as you scroll.

Firefox documents full-page screenshot capture in Developer Tools. Its Web Console also supports the command screenshot <filename.png> --fullpage. Load the scroll-dependent content first, then inspect the resulting image.
Playwright
In a Playwright script, the full-page option is:

Infinite scroll and virtualized pages
On an infinite-scroll page, capture the range you actually need rather than assuming there is a final page height. Virtualized pages may remove off-screen rows from the rendered document as new rows appear, so a single full-page image may not represent every item you visited. The capture can only include content that has loaded and is rendered in a form the screenshot tool can capture. Inspect the output and, when completeness matters, consider capturing sections separately.

Troubleshooting
- Images appear blank: Scroll until they enter the viewport, wait for loading to finish, and recapture. Browser lazy-load timing varies.
- A section is missing: Scroll to the affected region before full-page capture. The content may depend on entering the viewport or another scroll event.
- The image cuts off: Check whether the page added content after your capture began, then capture again after the desired range has loaded.
- Some feed items are absent: Infinite-scroll and virtualized pages do not necessarily expose all items as one stable, full-page document. Capture the needed range or separate sections and verify each image.
- The page never seems finished: Set a practical stopping point based on the content you need. No universal endpoint for an endless feed is established.
