How to Scrape Allegro.pl in 2026 Without Getting Blocked

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Short answer: Allegro’s published terms do not offer a compliant way to scrape its pages without permission. The terms require consent to download or use Allegro materials and prohibit scraping data for further use. If you have a legitimate integration need, apply to use Allegro’s REST API, check the rules for your intended use, and follow the relevant endpoint documentation. Lowering request rates or disguising automation does not grant permission or guarantee that access will not be blocked.

What “without getting blocked” means under Allegro’s rules

For Allegro.pl, avoiding a block is first an authorization question, not a browser-automation problem. Allegro’s English Terms & Conditions, stated as valid from September 1, 2026, say that downloading or using Allegro materials—including data and other information—requires company consent and must comply with the terms and applicable law. The terms prohibit aggregating or processing Allegro data for further use, including by scraping. Read the Allegro Terms & Conditions.

The same terms address bots and other IT or programming tools, including tools for data exploration, collection, or extraction, where they fall into prohibited categories such as creating increased traffic that excessively burdens the system, malware, or cyberattacks. Allegro reserves the ability to restrict access and use bot-blocking mechanisms. The terms do not provide a request-rate threshold, browser setting, proxy, or header that makes unauthorized scraping permissible or reliably prevents blocking.

So if you do not have consent for the data use, do not try to evade detection. If you do have a valid business or development use, establish the permitted scope first and use an authorized access route.

Use the Allegro REST API for an eligible integration

Allegro describes its REST API as an authorized way for external applications to communicate with Allegro resources. Its API rules state: “REST API jest autoryzowanym przez Spółkę sposobem komunikacji zewnętrznych aplikacji z zasobami Allegro.” In English: the REST API is a method of communication between external applications and Allegro resources authorized by the company. See Allegro’s API rules and its developer portal.

API access is not blanket permission to reuse marketplace information however you wish. You apply for access, need an active account with full registration, and may face additional conditions for particular resources. The API rules also restrict unauthorized collection or use of materials and certain downstream uses, including displaying Allegro offers on competing services. Confirm that both the access method and your intended use are allowed before collecting or displaying data.

API integration versus page scraping

Question Authorized REST API Unauthorized page scraping
Authorization Requires an eligible application and compliance with the API rules. Conflicts with the published terms when used to collect or process materials without required consent.
Permitted downstream use Still subject to API and platform restrictions; API access alone does not authorize every reuse. Request pacing or browser changes do not resolve the consent requirement.
Identity and access Requires the applicable account and API access conditions; API requests must identify the client with a User-Agent. Disguising the client is not authorization and may lead to access restrictions.
Operational maintenance Use the documented API resources and keep your integration aligned with current rules and endpoint documentation. Page structure and access controls can change, and Allegro may block bots or restrict access.

Apply, check scope, and build against the current API documentation

  1. Define the use case. Write down what data you need, why you need it, how long you will retain it, and whether or where it will be displayed or shared.
  2. Check eligibility and apply. Review the current access requirements in the Allegro developer portal. An active, fully registered account is required, and access may depend on the resource.
  3. Review the rules for the specific use. Read the API rules alongside the platform terms. If your intended use is unclear or appears restricted, obtain clarification from Allegro rather than assuming API access makes it acceptable.
  4. Choose documented endpoints. Consult the current endpoint documentation in the developer portal. Implement only the resources and operations available to your application, and handle the responses and errors described there.
  5. Identify your client correctly. Send a descriptive User-Agent on every API request, using your registered application identity and a version and information URL as appropriate.
  6. Maintain the integration. Recheck API rules, endpoint documentation, application eligibility, and key lifecycle notices when your integration changes or has been inactive.

Set the required User-Agent on every API request

Allegro’s developer FAQ says that API clients must include a User-Agent header with every request and recommends consistency with the registered application name. Its example format is NazwaAplikacji/Wersja (+AdresURL_Dokumentacji). Replace those example components with your own application name, version, and documentation URL; do not send the sample identity as if it were yours. See the developer FAQ.

This header identifies an API client. It is not a way to disguise automation, bypass anti-bot controls, or turn page scraping into an authorized integration. Use it only as part of requests made through the API under the applicable access and use rules.

Account for the API key changes announced for September 1, 2026

An Allegro notice dated August 12, 2026 describes lifecycle changes effective September 1, 2026 for newly registered API keys. The notice says those new keys are subject to a 30-day initial-use condition, application access may be revoked after more than 90 days without use, and the default limit is one key, with additional keys available by individual request. The announcement says older keys are outside these changes. Check the official developer announcements for the current notice and details before planning key rotation or an extended shutdown.

What not to do to avoid a block

  • Do not rotate identities or disguise a scraper. Changing IP addresses, browser fingerprints, or headers does not supply the consent required for using Allegro materials.
  • Do not treat a slower request rate as permission. Allegro’s terms do not establish a safe rate that authorizes scraping or guarantees access.
  • Do not use CAPTCHA-solving or anti-detection services to continue unauthorized collection. Those techniques do not resolve the platform’s restrictions on collection and reuse.
  • Do not assume public visibility means unrestricted reuse. The terms address downloading and using materials available on Allegro, not only information behind a login.
  • Do not assume API credentials authorize every use. The API’s access channel and the downstream use of its data are separate compliance questions.

For permitted visual QA, capture pages without treating screenshots as a data-extraction workaround

If your authorized task is visual testing or documenting a page you are permitted to access, use a capture method consistent with that permission. A screenshot does not override Allegro’s terms or grant rights to collect, process, or republish marketplace materials. For permitted sites and use cases, ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server; its service is at ScreenshotNeo.

Or skip the browser setup

For a permitted screenshot task, a single GET request can return an image or PDF. The following cURL example saves a WebP screenshot; replace the target URL with a page you are authorized to capture. See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for options and response details.

curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp

ScreenshotNeo accepts cookie or consent banners before capture and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets; each step can be turned off. Bot checks or CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and responses identify page verdict and billing status in headers. Its MCP server provides take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf for Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients. The Free plan includes 1,000 screenshots per month without a card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 screenshots.

Troubleshooting an authorized API integration

The application cannot access an API resource

Check that the account is active and fully registered, that the application has obtained API access, and that the particular resource does not impose additional conditions. Use the current developer documentation and contact Allegro through its official developer channels if the access requirement is not clear.

Requests are rejected or the client is not identified

Confirm that every API request includes the required User-Agent and that it accurately identifies your registered application. Follow the documented authorization and request format for the endpoint; do not respond by imitating another client.

Access changes after a period of inactivity

Check whether your credentials are newly registered and therefore subject to the announced lifecycle rules. The September 1, 2026 changes apply to newly registered keys, not older keys according to the announcement. Verify the current notice before changing a production credential.

Your use case involves redisplaying offers or reusing collected data

Do not infer permission from successful API responses. Compare the exact planned display, retention, and redistribution with the API rules and platform terms. If the rules do not clearly permit the use, ask Allegro for clarification or choose a use case that is expressly authorized.

FAQ

Does Allegro publish a safe request rate for scraping?

The official materials covered here do not establish a request-rate threshold that makes scraping authorized or guarantees that requests will not be blocked.

Does a public product page mean its information can be scraped and reused?

No. Allegro’s terms say consent is required to download or use Allegro materials, including data and other information; visibility alone does not establish permission for further use.

Can I use the required User-Agent to make a scraper look legitimate?

No. The User-Agent requirement applies to API clients and identifies the application making the request. It is not authorization to scrape or a technique for evading controls.

Can API access be used to show Allegro offers on another marketplace?

Do not assume so. Allegro’s API rules restrict some downstream uses, including displaying Allegro offers on competing services; check the current rules for the exact use you intend.
