To capture website screenshots only Monday through Friday, exclude Saturday and Sunday in the scheduler itself or add a weekday filter to the automation. For direct visual monitoring, Visualping offers weekday scheduling. For a workflow that saves an image on each run, a scheduled Zapier automation paired with an HTML-to-image action is the closest documented pattern. Check the scheduler’s timezone before relying on the weekday boundary.
Choose a schedule that matches what you need
A scheduled screenshot and a website monitor are related, but they do different jobs. A screenshot workflow creates an image on a schedule; a monitoring service checks a page for changes and can report or show those changes. Choose based on whether you need a recurring image archive or change alerts.

Set up weekday visual monitoring in Visualping

Build a scheduled screenshot workflow in Zapier
For a no-code process that produces an image on each run, use a Schedule by Zapier trigger followed by an HTML-to-image action. The integration catalog documents that combination as a daily workflow; configure the weekday restriction yourself rather than assuming the example excludes weekends.
- Create a Zap and select a Schedule by Zapier trigger with a daily cadence.
- Set Trigger on weekends? to No. Alternatively, use a filter with two AND-connected conditions to exclude Saturday and Sunday.
- Add an HTML-to-image action and provide the webpage URL and any options the action requires.
- If needed, add a later action to store or send the resulting image.
- Check the Zapier account timezone and allow for a few minutes of trigger-time variation.

Use Distill for scheduled checks
Distill documents two relevant controls, but they are for scheduled webpage checking; the available documentation does not establish Distill as a general-purpose screenshot archive workflow.
- Local monitors: use time-slot settings to choose start and end times and particular weekdays, such as Monday through Friday.
- Cron schedule: Distill documents time-and-day combinations through a cron tab, available only on its Enterprise plan.

Timezone and timing checks before you rely on the schedule
- Verify the controlling timezone. A Monday run in one timezone may still be Sunday in another. Check the workspace or account setting that actually governs the scheduler.
- Define what “weekday” means for your use. Schedulers typically apply the days according to their configured timezone, not necessarily the location of the site or its visitors.
- Allow for scheduling variation. Zapier says its trigger may run within a few minutes of the selected time, rather than at the exact minute.
- Confirm the outcome after a test run. Make sure the workflow creates or stores an image if that is your goal; a change-monitoring check is not automatically a daily archive.
Troubleshooting missed or unwanted runs
- A weekend run occurred: check that both Saturday and Sunday are disabled in the monitor schedule, or that the Zapier weekend control is set to No. If using a filter, confirm both exclusion conditions are AND-connected.
- A weekday run seems to happen on the wrong day: compare the configured scheduler timezone with the timezone you are using to judge the run. Check workspace settings for Visualping Business, or account settings for Zapier.
- The run is a few minutes late: Zapier does not guarantee the precise selected minute. Its documentation says a trigger should run within a few minutes.
- You received a change alert but no archive image: a monitoring check and a screenshot-saving automation have different outcomes. Use an image action and a downstream storage or delivery step if you need a recurring archive.
- You cannot select the schedule you expected in Distill: confirm whether you are using a local monitor or the Enterprise-only cron tab.
